Great product! Looks great on any countertop. Several slots-holds plenty of knives. Is (obviously) pretty tall, so can’t put on a counter under cabinets and still easily put knives in or get them out as they hit the underside of the cabinets-so just easier to put on a space free of any cabinet/obstacle above it. The media could not be loaded. I've been using the KITCHENDAO XL Bamboo Universal Knife Block for over a month now, and it has completely transformed my kitchen routine. At 9x4.5x9 inches, this compact yet capacious block fits beautifully on my counter without taking up much space. The universal slot design is a game-changer. It accommodates any knife up to 8.6 inches, regardless of its shape. This feature eliminates the hassle of finding the specific slot for each knife, making it a versatile option for all kitchen tools. Additionally, the block includes slots for a sharpening rod and kitchen shears, which is a thoughtful addition. What I appreciate the most is the thoughtful design. The non-removable black top cover ensures the knives stay securely in place and adds a sleek look to the block. The parallel slots protect knife edges from damage, which is crucial for keeping your knives in top condition. The anti-slip feet and drain holes are practical features that enhance the block's functionality. The anti-slip feet keep the block stable. Meanwhile, the drain holes ensure any moisture drains out, keeping your knives dry and rust-free. I also find the block’s placement beside my cutting boards incredibly convenient, allowing easy access while prepping meals. Even though I need to slightly tilt the block due to space limitations under my cabinets, it’s a minor adjustment for the efficiency it brings to my kitchen tasks. Overall, the KITCHENDAO XL Bamboo Universal Knife Block is a tool and a significant enhancement to any kitchen. It’s stylish, incredibly functional, and built to last. Highly recommend for anyone looking to organize their knives and keep them within easy reach safely! Read more

I got new knives but they didn’t come with a block, and when I tried to change them out into the block I already had they were too wide. I have always wanted one of these knife blocks that would fit any size knives and I finally dove in and got this one. Best decision! All the new knives fit nicely (no issues at all!) and there’s even a slot for a pair of kitchen shears. We had two “special” knives we usually keep in the cutlery drawer but I’m even thinking of moving them into this block. The wood itself is gorgeous! Read more

This knife block I GREAT. It’s truly universal. Width, length — no problem. Here is a little tip here: The slots are wide enough to hold 2 normal knives or one BIG chef knife! It’s wonderful, and a freebie .. it’s quite attractive! Good product.. well worth the money! Read more

I never really realized just how many types of knives I use until I was constantly having to compete with room on my two magnetic racks and kept having some of the thinner blades keep falling. That is why I bought this. There are a tons of things I like about this knife block. 1) it is incredibly easy to put the knives into the slots since they are wider than all my blades and long enough I can fit two rows of blades (note I this does work for even for my santoku blades, but might not work well with your larger chopper blades depending on size or pastry blade). 2) I very much appreciate the openness around the blades so that way there is room for any residual wetness to dry, and also makes it easy to clean inside when I need to. Let's face it no matter how clean you work to keep you kitchen dust and dirt will get into slots this just makes it easier to clean. 3). I like the look and sturdiness of the wood. It keeps the blades hidden and away from accidental cuts all behind an attractive package that does not easily tip over. 4.) Every knife fit lengthwise, including the bread knives and my ice pick. I don't have them in the block but suspect most of the skewers would probably only stick up a little. But I ran out of room...did I mention I had a lot of knives, almost all with the ergo safety grip handles. So, here are my only negatives: 1) As I said it is easy to put the knives in the slots as far as width and length inside, on my longer knives it does behoove me to pay attention as I go to remove knives. Keep in mind the angle is straight up. So with the longer blades I do need to make sure the blade has completely exited the block before tilting it towards me lest I tip the whole block. It's this or tilt the block towards me and pull out the knife. Which I do more often than not for those blades but wish I didn't have to. I'm 5'2" so I don't know if taller people have this issue. 2). While I love that it does allow for a double row of knives it does require I turn the knife block to get knives from the opposite side. It would be great if it had a rotating base to make it a smoother transition. Like I said it is a great knife block with some minor issues to me, but Ilike the build and design quality of this one enough that am considering buying the smaller square by the same maker for my steak knives to make those easier to access and free up room in the utensil drawer. 😁 Read more

This is a great product - lighter than I expected, and fits all but my 16 inch chef's knife, which to be honest, most knife blocks wouldn't fit it's slim, fits a lot of knives and looks good. Read more
