This espresso machine is so easy to use! It brews very well and my latte tasted great. 100% worth every dollar. The quality is great with the beautiful touch screen display. It does make some noise, but its not loud or obnoxious. Read more

I’ll start with the important part. This machine makes really good espresso and lattes. It’s very simple to use with minimal buttons that are clearly labeled and nicely displayed. One shot, two shot, steam. That’s it. The baskets for single and double shots are included, scoop and tamper are included and the steam wand is EXCELLENT. It produces thick, creamy milk foam better than any machine I’ve personally used (my main machine is four times this price and doesn't foam as well as this). Very impressed. The machine feels well designed and premium in how it looks and operates. It’s compact, attractive on the counter, and as someone who owns a much more complicated semi-automatic espresso machine, I appreciate how few things there are here that could realistically go wrong. Now the big head scratcher... You cannot actually make espresso with what comes in the box. The clearance between the portafilter outlet and the drip tray is 2.5-3 inches. None of my cups fit. Even my smallest 12 oz frothing cup does not fit. The only thing I could find that worked was an old shot glass, and even that overflowed on a single shot. This is extra frustrating because the product photos and even the box itself show it being used with small cups and frothing pitchers. Nothing like that is included. As I participate in the vine program where I review products in exchange for only paying the tax price of items, I always try to approach reviews from the perspective of a new user who paid full price. For someone new to espresso, I can easily imagine unboxing this, setting it up, pressing the button, and realizing you literally cannot use it without buying something else... That’s a terrible first experience. I don’t understand why they didn’t include even one tiny espresso cup, an undersized pitcher, or simply make the machine an inch taller. Even a tiny plastic catcher would have done the trick. They included a nice scoop and tamper, but no practical way to catch the espresso. All that said, once you solve the cup issue, it performs really well. Great espresso, outstanding milk frothing, simple controls, and a solid, compact design. If you already own very small espresso cups or are willing to buy them separately, you’ll probably love this machine. It's easily a five star machine for this price. Just be aware that out of the box, it’s not as ready to use as it should be. Read more

The list states the incorrect color, it is not BLACK like the other Chefman items, it is "black stainless" so if you are expecting it to have the same nice modern matte black and matching finish as the other products you will be disappointed Read more

Good espresso but for cappuccinos, like all products today, it is all junk. Just relative junk. Thus one’s major fault lies in the frother. This model skimped on the frothing apparatus/wand. The spout shield doesn’t stay on, so the inner milk frother has to be used without its external part. It literally falls off miduse into the milk steaming pot. Not an option. That means the milk isn’t frothed that well and the milk splash is going up the nozzle into the machine. This will limit the lifespan of unit considerably. My experience is that any of these machines under $500 won’t last longer than a couple years at best and even the $500 and up are cheaping out in big ways, so I stopped buying them. I never bought one over 1k so can’t comment on their lifespan. The espresso produced is decent. For cappuccino drinkers like me, the search for the Holy Grail continues. Read more
