Great for playing in the snow too!
We've been looking for a solution to playing ball with our GSDs in the snow without losing the balls until Spring (which abruptly stops the necessary task of burning off energy). This has been darn near perfect! We got the largest possible to increase the possibility of it not sinking out of sight in deeper snow (and making it easier to find should that happen). So far we haven't lost any!!! We have had a couple times where we were all looking through the freshly fallen snow for it, but that made for good "seek" fun and the dogs getting to use their noses. We've thought about smearing a little peanut butter on the ball or part of the handle to make it easier after a good snowfall, but haven't implemented it yet. The only downfall we've experienced is that our Germans can chew threw the orange mesh fairly quickly if left unattended. We don't leave these balls laying around the yard or house because of that. They are special just for the long throwing and obedience time we do daily. Read more
