First off, what you're getting here is an ONLINE game of up to 64 players. It requires PS Plus. There is an offline tutorial and practice mode, but those are not much fun. It's all about the online... Secondly, this is not a AAA game. It's in-between that and a budget title, thus the price. There are no next-gen graphics here... It's all about hack and slash medieval style online multiplayer! I'd suggest watching some gameplay videos before purchase. If this were a full price game, I'd only give it 4 stars. But for the value and what it is, it's great. Read more

Love love love the game but the game is promoted as crossplay but currently has no way to create a party with friends on other platforms. I have friends that have it on ps4 and Pc and in order to get into a game together we need to join at the same second and hope we get placed into the same game (95% of the time you don’t). That’s unacceptable in 2021… especially if you promote the game as a cross play game. Read more

Makes for a fun weekend

Chivalry 2 is a online 32 vs 32 knight multiplayer game. To give it credit this is a lot of fun. I sank a good portion of a weekend into this game and had a blast running around like a looney with a sword. The game seems like it has more nuance to it, but in reality it definitely is a bunch of people running into each other swinging swords wildly. That being said it is a lot of fun just doing that over and over. You get little objective like capture this point or burn this village those are just kinda there while you are swinging at the nearest blue guy in your way. You have about 4 classes to choose from. The knight whole is equipped with a long sword and healing items. The archer with a bow, and the wonderful ability to kill people from across the map. Footman who usually has a one handed weapon and the heavy that is slow with a stronger weapon but bigger swing. I mainly played a knight and archer I did feel the other two classes were a bit useless. The game is a good looking game but like early PS4 not even close to PS5 quality. The game does feel good while playing the only frustrating thing is friendly fire is on so try to avoid hitting your teammates. That is easier said then done with this game. I can honestly recommend buying this if you don't have friends who are playing. While it is fun it will get stale after a bit. I'd say give it a bit let them add some content and when it is a $20 price tag it'll be worth it then. Read more
