Customers say
Customers find the toy great for playing fetch, with one mentioning it's perfect for evening sessions. The glow feature receives mixed feedback - while some say it glows nicely, others find it doesn't emit enough light. Moreover, durability is a concern as dogs tear it up quickly, and customers note it's not suitable for strong chewers. Additionally, the glow time is short, lasting only about 10 minutes, and customer

My dogs liked this toy so much I got two so they would quit fighting over it. I have a 25-lb. mutt and a 55-lb. Vizsla and the medium size is good for both of them. The toy charges up quickly (30 seconds or so with a flashlight). The glow is strong along the whole toy, although it fades after about 5-10 minutes. If I can get one back from the dogs I just quickly charge it again. The toy itself is made of a tough nylon material with rubbery plastic ends. It can get wet without getting soggy, which is nice in the rain and snow. It seems durable (it IS durable, see Edit). I would never let a dog straight up chew on it, but we've used it daily for a couple of weeks now and its held up to catching, pawing and the games of tug-tug between the two dogs or between me and the dogs when they just don't want to drop it (which is all the time). If it hits the ground and there isn't any snow it will bounce a little bit, but nothing super crazy. Overall everyone is happy we added a couple of these to our collection. We also have a glow in the dark flying disk the dogs like Hyperflite Jawz Disc, 8-3/4-Inch, Glow-in-the-Dark which is very durable and holds its glow much longer, but is harder for the dogs to get out of the snow if they don't catch it. Edit: its now been a year since we bought our first toy and they are still awesome. Some of the glow tape on the sides has peeled off and there are holes in the ends from chewing (there is a styrofoam-type stuff under the rubbery stuff, so nothing falls out of the hole), but we still play with the toys every day. My dog loves this toy. Even when she is out of breath she can run with it easily because it is big enough to keep panting. Drawback is that it is not durable. I did not tug or pull it at all and still fell apart. I just bought my third one though because she loves it and won't fetch balls or stick shaped toys. Read more
Fun fetch toy, my 80lb lab and I have played with this everyday for two weeks and it still looks new. It does glow well and looks really cool, but it only stays lit for a few minutes before needing more light. It is NOT as bright as the ChuckIt glow ball, I would say this Tumble Bumper is 30% dimmer. Great nighttime toy if you are close to a light source. Read more
I had picked this bumper originally up at a Dog Dock Diving event for my dog. He doesn’t dive but my boyfriend thought he’d like it. Turns out, it’s one of his favorite toys. He loves it! It makes for a good toy to play fetch with. Very durable. I like that it glows in the dark as well. My dog played with it so much, I had to get him a new one because the first one started getting beat up. Read more
Very disappointed. I can not get it to charge fully- i use a bright LED lamp and rotate it but only one side will charge at a time and then it doesn’t hold long. I have “charged” it from 6 in away for hours, still only will charge one side. Wish it could charge just with the sun not a heat lamp (like the glow in the dark Chuck-It balls). I always purchase chuck-it products, this one isn’t good for what it’s advertised for- glowing in the dark. Other than that good quality like their other products. Maybe the one I got is just too old. Read more
CHUCKIT happens to make great products for dogs and mine has the glow-in-the-dark Tumble Bumper, the football, and the soccer ball (among the other CHUCKIT toys she enjoys). She loves the glow in the dark aspect of this, as it allows her to play in the dusk and dark. The material is pretty sturdy, although the part that is not covered in the sturdy green material tends to get chewed up pretty badly on the football and soccer ball after a while (we've gone through 2 of each). Still, I would highly recommend! Read more
I have had so much success with Chuckit! products through the years, my dogs love the glow products. I have an almost one year old puppy who loves to retrieve and this looked perfect for her. We played with the toy and when we where through, she was able to chew one of the ends off. I have used the Chuckit! balls and my dogs love to have them in their mouths and chew on them and they are indestructible. This toy is not indestructible! I was expecting a more durable toy. Read more
