I have two dogs, one that loves to tear things apart and another that loves to play fetch. When the Chuckit! Crunch Ball Dog Toy arrived, my older dog immediately went to work chewing through the cord that held the balls together. While I was a little disappointed at how easily he chewed through it, my younger dog found these balls were perfect for playing fetch. They were relatively light-weight, yet you could throw them a great distance. They were stiff enough to bounce when they hit the ground, but my dog could chew on them as she returned them to me for the next throw. They were durable and had a hole where the cord once was, which made them lighter weight and flexible. One of the balls eventually wore out and cracked after months of use and we ended up losing the other one. Now I'm having trouble finding them again on Amazon, but will definitely keep looking. The rope is cheap! I was very disappointed because Chuckit has always made quality toys but this one didn't even last a week before the rope started wearing through! The balls are still holding up so I can just go buy some quality rope and try to re-string them but I shouldn't have to do that. Poor quality toy. Read more

Our golden retriever pup LOVES this toy! She shreds most rope toys but not this one. Crunchy sound is fun to bite, she can easily carry it by the rope and the dual ball ends make it bounce crazy, which she loves! Would definitely buy it again if needed but this company makes durable, long-lasting stuff so probably won't need to. Read more

The balls are exactly what our Aussie's like. They are soft and have plastic on the inside that makes a pleasant sound they like. Our dogs go nuts for the balls by themselves but we have one that loves to play tug a war and carry ropes around and felt this was perfect for him. I want to give this item 5 stars as we love Chuckit items but I just cant on this one. The rope is already almost ready to split in 2. This is not from chewing this is just for basic tug a war (we dont pull hard on this) and just from him carrying it around. Very disappointed it is about to break as our Aussie loves it but the best part is once it does break we got more of the balls they both love. Read more

Love chuck it stuff. My dog generally loves to play with balls - he didn't like this one at all. Not sure why. It is durable and crinkly sounds in the ball, and strong rope. Just overall not an enjoyable one for my dog. Read more

I have a mid-size dog - a Portuguese Water dog. She loved it. We played with this for about 5 minutes. Then I had a very short phone call, just confirming an appointment. Good toy for throwing and retrieving, but not sturdy enough to leave it with her for 3 minutes! At least there’s two balls left (at least so far). Read more
