No ball made for a dog will last forever if they are chewers, but the Chuckit brand far outlast the rest and I have used them for years. I have some that been around for 15+ years. They are well made, easy to throw and a good size for medium to large dogs. What does not last is the throwers. My dogs have manged to chew up and destroy every one I have every purchased so I just throw them by hand now. I also like the nice bright orange color which makes them easier to find. Not the cheapest you can buy for sure, but they far outlast any less expensive balls I have purchased in the past. UPDATE: These are complete trash! I expected so much better from this brand (from which we have purchased other dog toys) But these are absolute trash! As in, less than five days of use and I have to put them in the trash. I had to request a refund. Didn't bother with a replacement because those would likely not last either. The listing and package says they are suitable for ball launchers. That's exactly how I used them - in a ball launcher, to play fetch with my dog. About two, five to ten minute sessions a day. I toss, he retrieves and brings to me. These were NOT being used a chew toy, just for tossing and fetching. After two days, one of them was getting cracked down the middle and the surface was coming up. After two more days, one was dangling in half and the second one was cracking open. By day 5 - today - I couldn't even throw them well because they were completely falling apart and one was hanging by a thread, practically. So these are just total rubbish. The ones I got from Aldi were a thousand times more durable after months and months of use they are still intact except for one little spot on one of the balls where it got chewed on. My dog is a Golden retriever and he is two years old. I take him to the park often to play fetch and wanted this color that stands out against the fall yellow grass where the yellow tennis balls can easily get lost. I liked them for the color and they go far with the chick it. The thing I don't like is that my pup eventually has the desire to want to tear the material off the balls. So when I catch him doing that I take the ball away. Also after a few times of fetch I'll notice I need to throw it away because it begins to break in half at the seam. It's thick plastic underneath the material and two pieces just glued together. So eventually they are trash. Didn't last as long as I'd hoped. Plus he loves to swim and they will end up in the pool often. They eventually get water in them and sink to the bottom of the pool because of the weight and no longer float. Then when he retrieved it and brings it back inside there is water coming out of the ball that's inside it. I will stick with the other plastic chuck it balls that are orange. They bounce better and float and don't break and my pup has no desire to chew and destroy it. They last forever and are a few more bucks just for one but worth it Read more

My german shepherd can destroy pretty much any ball in a very short time. These last months and months and months. He will eventually destroy them after they've been relentlessly chewed for hours and hours, left in the all sorts of weather, potentially run over with a lawn mower, and then chewed again. Usually the center seam eventually fails and he still plays with them because that's when he falls in love with them all over again. These are the best. Even as they degrade they don't become a choking hazard. If they weren't available, I'd worry for my dog's well-being. Read more
