These are really nice boots, but the fit is a little off for me. I've worn size 7 Wide my entire adult life (which is what I ordered), but lately they've been running a bit too long. Maybe my foot is shrinking? The width is a bit narrow, but as you will see in the photo of my oddly shaped foot, I do have a bunion that makes it difficult to find any shoe or boot that fits comfortably. I plan to add an insert and see if that helps to keep my foot from sliding and hopefully I can break the leather in to conform to my foot. As for the style, the "Taupe" is a very dark, neutral brown with a soft, matte finish that should go nicely with almost any color. The metal accent is also a very neutral tone - warm, but not brassy, so it doesn't stand out - more of a subtle complement. The heel height is perfect for me - not too high, but not flat. Overall I do recommend these boots. Just a heads up - Amazon recommended a size 7.5 for me which would have been way too large. I'm wondering if a 6.5W may be a better fit for me. Read more

Nice boots! I wear a 9 and have a little bit of a wide foot but — these shoes didn’t require breaking in and were not stiff. True to size. I love the dark brown color look with the side strap/buckle. Heel does make the click-clack sound but it doesn’t feel slippery. It does sit under your ankle so you don’t have to fold your jeans you can just let them sit normal but your socks might show. These give a country outfit feel/look when wearing. Clark’s tend to be great and comfortable shoes, these continued to prove that to me. Read more

This is the second pair of differently-styled Clark boots that I ordered. The first pair, I ordered my usual boot size, which is an 8.5M (my foot from heel to second toe is just shy of 9.5 inches and normal width.). The first boots proved to be too narrow and too long for my foot. I ordered this pair in an 8W, and while they have a tiny bit more width than I like, they fit my feet way better than the first pair. The leather material is soft and has a brushed look, with a decorative side buckle (they have zippers for putting on and removal). These boots appear to be well-made and durable and the style is classy and sleek. The heel is a hard but forgiving rubber that doesn't seem to slip on smooth or wet surfaces. Theses boots look great with jeans and leggings and have that casual, comfortable flair to them. I recommend these boots, however, I would definitely measure the length, as Clark's seem to run longer, judging from the two experiences I have had ordering their boots. I do wear a size 8 in Clark's flip flops, but most of those styles do not have half sizes. Read more

The leather quality is easily one of the most impressive part of these boots. It's soft, supple and very comfortable. The size chart was absolutely correct, these boots fit perfectly. The heel feels a lot lower than it is so it's more comfortable than you'd think. The toe box is nice and wide so you can wear these for hours without even noticing you're wearing new leather.
