CLEAR REAR Elongated Bidet Toilet Seat Non Electric Attachment for Toilets Easy to Install Self Cleaning Rear Feminine

I got this bidet toilet seat to replace a bulkier one which seat had cracked in two places. This toilet seat attachment installs quickly and easily and is well made with a few features that set it a grade above most non-electric, cold water bidet seats. The seat itself is solid, not hollowed out like some others, and both it and the lid are slow closing. The included T-adapter and flexible water hose are leak free and the small control knob to one side along with all in one seat design makes for an install very similar to standard toilet seats so it fits on both two piece toilets as well as many less common one piece and French curved toilets that other bidet seats and attachments can't be installed on. The dual bidet nozzles provide both rear and feminine wash and remain clean with the self-clean feature, retracting behind a flip down protective cover. The spray from both nozzles has good pressure and performance, distributing the stream well enough that you don't notice the temperature, and leaving you clean yet not too powerful or have you dripping wet underneath. There's a bit of room for improvement, the included T-adapter has no shut off knob, so there's no way to cut just the water to the bidet without shutting off the water to the toilet entirely. This would be helpful as there's also no quick release for the seat, you have to unscrew the mounting bolts to remove it to clean underneath the hinge where it attaches to the bowl. Lastly, the opening in the seat itself seems slightly narrow but not so much as to get in the way of you doing the do. We've previously bought bidet bolt-on components that fit between the toilet bowl and the existing toilet seat. Those are OK but the seat slides around more when you have two things screwed down instead of one, and it's also more difficult to clean because of all the extra nooks and crannies needed to make it fit. I like this seat because it's one piece. It works well, and is easier to clean around. As long as you don't need a specially shaped toilet seat, or you need a special color, or you aren't emotionally attached to your old toilet seat, this is a good purchase. Installation is as easy or more easy than the other type. It works well. The price is really reasonable as long as you're OK with non heated water (it's really not bad- kind of refreshing). If you need a bolt on bidet attachment, I recommend SAMODRA brand. We have a toilet that has a square shaped seat and there are probably no bidet seats available for it (if there are, they're probably expensive). Read more

As one gets older and fatter proper hygiene in the nether regions can be rough. There is a bidet craze at the moment and many available, some very expensive. If NOT having a warm wash is OK with you this seat is an excellent choice. I now have put them on both my toilets and really installation is very easy, instructions fine, and it works. The instruction to hand tighten first and then check for leaks was something I did not see but using pliers for the first one didn't do any harm, and the second install I did use hand only tightening and no leaks then either. I've accidentally become some kind of bidet connoisseur. I bought this one after I had issues with both a Genie Bidet and a Toto Washlet, and it is exactly what I wanted, but it's not quite perfect. I started out with a house full of Genie Bidets. These are non-electric, and hook up directly to the cold water supply. I have a lot of water pressure in my house, and that meant the bidets did a very good job of hosing off, so to speak. I like them, but they have a feature that kept breaking and customer service was no help. In fact, even though they are USA-based they don't answer the phone or email. The feature that kept breaking was the ability to quickly remove the seat for more thorough cleaning. Unfortunately, there's a little quick-release plastic tab that allows the seat to attach and detach quickly and this kept snapping off. When we did a whole-house reno, we put in electrical outlets behind the toilet to accommodate our new Toto Washlets. Maybe we got the wrong ones. These do everything - heat the seat and the water, rinse the bowl, rinse the wand, filter the air - but the water goes through some kind of valve (which takes forever) and by the time it comes out, the pressure is really low. It's almost useless. So, I was looking for something like the Clear Rear, which is simpler technology that allows the house's natural water pressure to do its thing. It does that really well. But the "rear" wand produces a water stream that is oddly "sharp" feeling. The "front" wand, has as much pressure as the rear, but isn't sharp. I find myself using the front wand for the back. My other complaint is that it is hard to clean around. There are a lot of nooks and crannies, and this is a toilet seat, and I like my toilet to be spotless. I do miss that feature of the Genie Bidet, where I could remove the seat for ease of cleaning. And my final complaint is that it has the words "Clear Rear" imprinted on the top of the seat. I don't want anything imprinted on the top of my toilet seat, but I can live with "Toto" on top. I really don't want, what is effectively "clean butt" imprinted on it. Read more
