This is probably the best body powder I've ever used. To start, the powder is pumped out through a nozzle, so it gets exactly where you want it to be without a giant puff of powder everywhere or the possibility of spilling excess onto your clothes or floor. It's also very gentle. By that I mean: once you've applied it to yourself, you'll almost forget it's there. Your body won't react to it, you won't feel it when your skin rubs against your skin, and it doesn't turn into a weird chalky paste. What it does do is last all day to combat friction, absorb sweat, and deodorize. I used this in the morning and by bedtime, realized it was still working to absorb sweat and still had a faint, pleasant smell. The price is a little high for me, but at the same time, you get two of these per package so there's still value there -- and it seems obvious that this is a case of getting what you pay for (in a good way). I am very familiar with dry shampoos: sprays, powders and more recently gels. I have to say this is one of the best powders I’ve tried. The brands I’ve tried before did not have a pump/nozzle applicator and that makes a world of difference. It makes it easy to target sections of your hair without the powder getting everywhere. I have dark hair so if using a powder it has to be applied sparingly or it leaves a gray cast to my hair. The powder is very fine, absorbs quickly, and left my hair looking noticeably less greasy. The Vanilla Coconut fragrance is pleasant without being overwhelming. I did try it as a deodorant too, and while I like a product that does double duty I think I’ll keep this just for my hair. The dusting-type consistency makes it easy to spread a little bit over a broader area of the body. It has a faint, pleasant, and refreshing minty fragrance. The cap has text that reads: SYNTHETIC FRAGRANCE FREE. What that means - the powder has a scent but not coming from synthetic ingredients. The velvety powder easily absorbs and leaves the surface of my skin perfectly dry. The deodorant is made with arrowroot, which is known to be a dependable, natural, talc-free alternative for absorbing perspiration and moisture on the skin. The list of ingredients is long - starts with corn starch, includes tapioca starch, a glycol and a glyceryl, a couple of natural oils, a bark extract, and ends with charcoal powder (for fighting odor). Each bottle is under 1 ounce and should fit comfortably in a medium size purse or travel bag. The Amazon price display doesn't make sense to me - at the time of this review, the list price shows $36.99 and next to it in displays "($0.21 / ounce)". Together the two bottles are 1.76 ounces. By my calculation, that is a per ounce price of $21.02. I'm pleased that they tout being free from aluminum, petroleum, parabens, and phthalates. I also like that it is 'plant-based care' and a Certified Woman-Owned business. Note, I don't really pick up on the 'basil' fragrance, nonetheless, the scent is clean and rejuvenating. The bottle includes application guidelines with an emphasis on being "Real", "Powerful", and "Unstoppable" I am using this product as a deodorant. I can imagine it's value for anti-chafing care as well. I don't plan to try it as a dry shampoo, although that does make sense since it contains both corn and tapioca starch, which are considered oil-absorbing. Overall, the quality of the powder is very good. It is distinctive and impressive. As a deodorant, it has been effective at keeping me dry, fresh, and cool. The value is moderate at best. I’ve been keeping this Cleo + Coco powder duo in my bag for travel and it’s been a lifesaver. The size is perfect for tossing in a carry-on or gym bag, and I’ve mainly been using it as a dry shampoo when I don’t have time to wash my hair. It really helps cut down on that greasy look without leaving a chalky white cast, which is usually my issue with powder formulas. It goes on super light and brushes out easily. The lavender vanilla scent is soft and clean—not too perfumey or overpowering. I’ve also tried it under arms a couple times when I needed a midday freshen-up and it worked surprisingly well. Definitely not a heavy-duty deodorant, but great for light refreshment and moisture control. This is a very interesting and innovative product. It is like a dry shampoo but can also be used on the body. It definitely gives my hair volume and more body. I don’t understand why the lid says ‘synthetic fragrance free’ but then the scent is basil mint which you can definitely detect. I think they mean that it is free of synthetic fragrances but the way it is written is a little bit confusing. The scent is actually lovely and light and could be used on either gender. I like that I can pump it directly on my hair and it doesn’t have that gray castvthat some dry shampoos leave behind. I also use a few pumps in my shoes to control odor. Talc free.
