I'm convinced that nail clippers end up at the same place where missing socks go. I can't tell you how many clippers my husband and I have bought/been gifted/inherited over the years. Yet I have to keep my clippers zipped up in my purse because I know if he gets his hands on them they will be lost forever. I really hope that's not the case with these, because they're pretty awesome. First, they come in black, which is an exciting change from the standard silver. Second, they are curved, making it easier to get your nails to the right shape. Third, they cut easily. I've had other pairs where you have to push down the lever really far to actually cut my nail. These have the right amount of resistance and you don't need to have Hulk-like strength to get them to work. They also come in a cute little box, so are perfect to give as a gift, or to send a not-so-subtle message to someone with questionable nail length. Read more

Bottom line up front: These are solid nail clippers. They are more expensive than the cheap ones, but they do a much better job. Rubric: Q: Can this item perform as advertised? A: Yes. However, the seller claims that these are "ergonomically designed specifically for male hands". As a woman, I find that I was capable of holding a pair of nail clippers. Q: Are there quality concerns? A: None. They seem to have a comparable quality to other nail clippers in this price bracket. Q: Is it a good value for the current cost? A: Yes; it's priced well for its quality. Q: Is this item accurately represented and adequately documented? A: No documentation was present, but none seem to be needed. Q: Is there anything unexpected I encountered? A: Strangely, I feel that these would make good stocking stuffers for Christmas. Read more

These clippers are a game-changer! The wide jaw design tackles thick, gnarly nails with surgical precision. I like that it comes in two sizes. At first impression, I thought that maybe these nail clippers were a bit cheap and not going to cut it. They are light and seem thin, but after I used them, I realized that these were not drawbacks, but more the materials used and they didn’t need to be bulky and heavy. The action is smooth, they feel premium in the hand, and they cut easily. I think these nail clippers work great, but I did notice that it left my nails feeling a little rough and I needed some filing. I find this to be the case with many nail clippers even if they are super sharp (as these are plenty sharp and have no issues giving you a nice trimmed nail). It may be that they cut so well that the edge they leave is more square and less pinched and rounded. Either way, they cut easy and a little filing isn’t an issue (unless you like nails that feel a little scratchy). I will note that both the nail clippers are concave (curved in). This is typical for the smaller set, but the larger set, while a common design, some people prefer a convex (curved out) design. I personally prefer the larger set to be convex and this style can be hard to find. Either way, even being concave, I found them easy to use and I didn’t really have any issues with them. Some may not care if nail clippers come with a carry case or not. This set does not come with a carry case, so if you just plan to have them in a draw or already have a case/bag to put them in, then you’ll be fine, but if you desire a small case/bag to put these in, then you’ll need to find one to use. These nail clippers work great, are easy to use, and look nicer than the plain old steel ones. They are light but still do not feel flimsy like some cheaper nail clippers can and the do deliver a nice clean cut. As pictured they come in a nice box that makes them seem fancy and could make a nice gift. I am female and have been using them so I am not sure what the design differences would be for male hands because they seem to work the same as other good quality nail clippers to me. Read more

The clippers have a fairly smooth action when going from closed to ready to clip. Take note that the large clippers used for toe nails are not straight across, if this matters to you. Each nail clipper did a good job cutting nails and were sharp out of the box. The clippers don’t really catch the cut part of the nail so in this regard they are a pretty standard nail clipper. The box itself does come with quite a bit of packaging to throw away. Read more

These are a very good quality in comparison to some I've used. The cutting is smooth but there's no ridges that provide a grip on these so if my fingers are oily, they get a little tough to hold. But that's just me nit picking. They feel nice, are a gorgeous matte black and have a good weight to them. Worth the buy at this price point. Read more
