Bought this unit for my wife primarily as it was one of the very few UL rated units out there. I have one by a different company that was a little less expensive but similar capacity. Recently mine was unable to start a vehicle with a dead battery but this particular unit started it right up. Would recommend spending the extra money for the capability and for the UL rating, These units carry a lot of energy in their lithium batteries and safety, especially if carried in your car, is important. Cobra JumPackXL CPP15000 I got this in July 2020. I used it a couple of times and it seemed to work OK. It is supposed to hold a usable charge for some time. The last time I took it out of the car to check was the last of Dec. I went out this morning (02/11/2021). The car battery was dead, then I hooked up the jumpack unit and it was dead as well. I bought this so my wife would have something on the road that was not heavy or cumbersome. I wanted something light and easy to use (plugs into 12V outlet in car) also has exterior jumper cables. On Feb 4 the 2018 subaru outback would not start. Luckily my wife was home with me. The directions were followed explicitly . The powerboat was 100 % the red LED lit up but despite following what to do after this the LED never turned green. We tried both ways to jump 3 x NO SUCCESS./ OF COURSE TO LATE TO RETURN . Update 2020-10-30: We got hit by a bad ice storm and have been without power for 5 days. The JumpPck has come in quite handy. I charge it up in my truck (doesn’t take long to fully charge) and have been using it to recharge our cell phones and tablets and we use it as an occasional really bright flashlight! Cant say enough good about this little power pack! Update 09-23-2019: Left my car headlights on overnight, drained the battery. Hooked this thing up to my car battery and it started right up within just a few seconds. I bought this for a long 11hr drive to Colorado. I wanted to charge it up on the way AND have our iPhones plugged in to charge. It took me a couple of times to figure out that you had to push the Power button for the phones to charge AND every time you turn off the car, you have to push the power button again. I haven't had to jump start my truck yet, so we'll see how that goes. But so far, a good buy. Read more
