colgate plaque toothpaste: i ordered this in may 2025 and my oct 1st dental visit found that "your gums are incredible, you cant get any healthier gums even after cleaning your gums didnt even show a slight redness where normal patients will have slight bleeding" . Only scrape/cleaning needed was for coffee staining. I use high flouride products and these flouride products cannot get to the enamel when plaque is present. I cannot find this plaque pro paste anywhere locally. Do not under estimate colgate or crest products. I have all my teeth and they are very healthy in my 60's now. I used fancy toothpastes and started moving away from them on/off about 4 years ago but hangin' with colgate for now. And floss every day and floss carefully. fyi: one day a week i do a 20 minute floss routine. Crazy but extremely effective and helpful. I tried this product just to see how it feels; and I can say I really enjoy using it! Mouth Feels absolutely fantastic after brushing! Really fresh and clean; and the quality of the paste is top notch. It definitely freshens breath and complements my mouth wash perfectly. I would like a larger tube though. I bought this toothpaste just to try. I have a few things to say about my experience that I hope others will find useful: First, the paste is a bit more liquidy than other toothpastes which means it will settle in the tube when oriented in a certain position. It's mean to be stored vertically on the cap. However, if you throw it in a drawer sideways, it's aggravating to have to push the toothpaste toward the opening twice per day. No other toothpaste I've tried is like this. The cap is also a little bit annoying to put on and take off. There are just easier methods than the screw-on type these days. However, the cap does look more upscale than any other toothpaste cap I've ever seen. The texture of the toothpaste is quite nice. If you are finding that it brings you to brush twice daily, then there is value in a nice texture. If you have no troubles with that schedule using other toothpastes, then this might not be a benefit for you. You might also just want some sensory novelty in your life. That's fine too. However, the cost is pretty high and I think the actual offerings are pretty low. Also note that if you rinse your mouth with water after brushing, you are not really getting a lot of the benefits of a given toothpaste (except maybe whitening). You are washing away a lot of the cleaning agents and fluoride. A cheaper toothpaste would be fine for people who do that. Read more
