This was very surprisingly sturdy! I got it for a pride event, and it was extremely windy so I didn't expect it to last long, but it made it through two days and still works well. The material is a bit thin if you are using it for sun protection, but with sunscreen it really made a difference. It also folds up very small so it is perfect for festivals or travel. As some people have noted, it doesn't automatically open, and because of the way it folds, children may need help with it, but I didn't find it complicated to open or close it. Read more

Package arrived, colors of umbrella are stunning and I love the scallopped edge,. but opened it once and when I tried to close it, the fabric came off the end of the steel ribs. tried to put them back on but unable to, so umbrella is useless. Read more

It's really stiff and it folds inside out- both of which make it feel a little rickety when I'm trying to put it up or take it down... to put it up, I have to be super careful and, at just the right moment, tug down the upside-down edges... So I've ended up not actually using it at all yet. It's just not easy enough to pop up when heading out in the rain. It's very cute and all... just difficult to use. Read more
