My partner and I LOVE this product! We've had it for a little over 6 months and we use it almost every week, sometimes multiple times a week. The quality is great and it works as needed. My only regret is that we didn't get a bigger size. I would like to make meals in larger batches so we can freeze some for future meals. Otherwise if you're just looking for a quality "instapot" it works perfectly. I've made pulled pork, vegetable soup, chuck roast, and they have all turned out amazing. We have only used the pressure cook and saute settings so far. For saute it heats up almost instantly and it has a nice keep warm setting for up to 10 hours. The media could not be loaded. Because I am a person that is not familiar with pressure cooking, I thought I would enter the ring with a less expensive model until I had more experience. Big mistake big big mistake – I think it should be the other way around. If you are highly experienced in pressure cooking, this unit might be Better for you. I felt like I did not fully understand how to pressure cook anything in this with the instructions provided. I also didn’t like that I had to tab so many times to get to the cooking setting that I wanted. Finally, I always felt that I had to stay close to the kitchen so that I released the steam appropriately and at the appropriate time. if you are a busy person or looking for an easier way to pressure cook, I would recommend purchasing the instant pot model that releases the pressure on its own. It makes life a whole lot, easier, and I feel like I can pressure cook absolutely anything now. I do recommend purchasing the instant pot guide pressure cooker guide , because not every type of food is going to be pre-programmed into any slow cooker. This makes the work easy, hasslefree, and it gives you confidence in your ability to pressure cook. I read the instructions when I got it, and used the cooker for the first time the next day. I quickly figured out I had completely wasted my time reading the instructions because I had obviously slept since then. That being said it did make it a lot easier to find what I needed in the book even if I couldn't remember any of it. I bought a pressure cooker cookbook and it worked out well with the instruction booklet so now I keep them together. Even though the cookbook had a different brand name on it the concept was the same and it worked out fine. I went with this brand of cooker because of the bad reviews for the well known brand that said it broke the first time, or it had some problem or another. I am not sure, but I suspect that these cookers are all made in a very few factories with different labelling on them and this brand had great reviews if there were only a few of them. I will say that mine worked great. No problems at all, and the ribs were fantastic even if I do say so myself. These are handy to have, and this is a cheaper version with yet another great review.
