Just received this heater, and it works great. I live in the converted attic in a home built in 1850. So far, it is heating most of my space. It is silent, and the sides stay cool, even when it's been running for hours. This was important because I wanted to keep it closer the wall, and I feel safe doing that. Honestly, the way it heats my space exceeds my expectations. Read more

Very nice. Small size, big heat. Good controls. Had to operate it out in the garage for a while to burn off the manufacturing odors. Very quick to come up to heat when turned on. Read more

I added 2 of these in my living room, flanking the fireplace. They augment my 30-year old baseboard hydronic heating system. I used 2 heaters, each set at 750 watt outpu (#1), since they are on the same circuit and 1500 total watts (750+750) was all the circuit could supply from a 15 amp breaker. The resulting voltage sag from the 2 heaters is about 9-10 volts, right at the limit of the electrical code recommendations. I suggest if you are serious about using these, check the voltage sag so you don't start a fire inside the walls. Look it up. I put new outlets at these locations also. I would not use these if you have aluminum wiring - check it out. The pair of heaters spreads the warmth evenly, basically identical to the other baseboards. When its above 40F outside, they can provide all the heat for the room (its a big room, about 16 ft x 32 ft with 12 ft ceilings). Got the first bill from our power utility- roughly increased from $60 to $170 for month using these heaters more-or-less constantly. Unacceptable cost-wise to use them this way. They will be back-up for the coldest days only. They are light but well-made, decently finished, and not unattractive (compared to 30 year old baseboards anyway). There were only a few minutes of mild paint smell when they first fired up, no problem. Addendum: After a month I had to return one of my heaters. When it had been on for several hours, you could see that one small spot was glowing red hot, inside, on the metal heating element. It didn't seem safe- I gave up trying get hold of the manufacturer via phone to ask if this was "normal." The seller refunded 100% promptly and Amazon gave me free return postage, and I bought an exact replacement. It arrived in a couple days. Turns out that they all (3 for 3) have intermittent, glowing red-hot spots inside, on the heating element. Read more

Wonderful. Just what I needed for my room in the basement that has no vent for central air. Started immediately heating the space with warm heat. My dog loves it too. 2 Heating dials that allows you to turn to the heating comfort of your choice and heating settings for warmth. Lots of safety features. Not bad for the price. Light weight and durable. It heats the entire space/ room immediately, not just your feet. Read more

Extremely well made and designed, not to mention, very attractive. The reason that I bought this heater is, it is analog. Pair this with a Whillhi 1436A thermostat and you will be able to keep a constant temperature in the room, which I feel is the goal. Also, it is completely quiet. It's radiant, so no fan and no clicking when heating up and cooling off. Read more

It’s silent so I forget that it’s on. It doesn’t blow warm air. The top heats up, and is warm to the touch, and that’s about it. It didn’t add any warmth to a small room. I’d get more heat from an oven burner. Read more

I have purchased a few Comfort Zone Electric Baseboard Space Heaters. The most recent purchase is the first time that the thermostat dial has been very difficult to move at the lower settings. I can see how it could get stuck and be impossible to adjust. I'm going to keep the heater because I like all the other features over any other that I've purchased (it is very quiet, does not get extremely hot, and spreads heat more evenly because it is a baseboard).
