Very happy with my purchase! I am a short (5'3) girl with fuller calves (18"), so it is hard for me to find a boot with enough room for jeans, and not come up past my knees! I searched all over, went to many different stores, and didn't have much luck. I found these and decided to give it a shot. I ordered the wide foot, just because in boots I like a little wiggle room and comfort for all day walking. The fit is perfect! They already feel comfortable, even without being fully broken in yet! I saw some people comment about the quality, which made me hesitant. I'm happy with the way they look and have no issue with anything cosmetic what so ever. Definitely worth the money in my book! These were my go-to boots for many years. They were great because they fit my wide calves, but weren’t wide width in the foot. I re-ordered a pair for this winter, and unfortunately after wearing them once for just 2 hours, they began to crack and peel. I had to send them back. Disappointing. Read more

Since I search long and hard to find wide calf boots, I figure it's important to leave a review! My calves are 17.5 and 18" and these boots zipped up. I would say a true 18" is as big as you can go because that one a tight fit zipping up and even tighter with jeans on. Because these are leather, they'll stretch some after wear and it shouldn't be an issue. Pros: The boots stay up, which is nice, but they do have a bit of a baggy ankle (kind of what we get when the calves have to be so big!). I have a somewhat wide foot and these have room for thick socks. Comfortable wearing them all day and that's coming from someone who walks around the city. Cons: My only complaint is that after wearing them for 1/2 a day, the sole on one of them (near the toe) was already starting to pull away. I'm going to use some super glue to take care of it, but a bit disappointing since these are over $100. The quality is decent, since they're leather, but there are some irregularities. Read more

These are really beautiful boots, I really loved the look of them when I took them out of the box, though after trying them on I was a little unsure on whether to keep them or return them for a smaller size. I sized up because boots tend to run small in my experience. Unfortunately they didn’t have half sizes so I ordered a size 12 (I’m normally an 11 or 11.5.) I also ordered extra wide and probably should have ordered wide instead; the extra wide is REALLY wide. I first tried them on with bare feet and no pants tucked in and thought there was no way I could make them work with the extra room in the foot and calf area, I could barely walk in them. I tried them on again with leggings and thick socks that come just below the knee pulled over my leggings and they were much better. I think I’ll have to buy some gel insoles because they have very little padding and support and aren’t very comfortable. I really like the look of them, they look like $200 boots from Nordstrom with lots of nice details and seem like they should hold up well. I’m happy to have found wide calf boots, I normally buy regular boots and struggle to get them on and end up being very uncomfortable. My calves are about 17.5”. These extra wide boots would probably allow for a calf that was at least 3” larger than mine. My suggestions would be to stick with your regular size when ordering, measure your calves and figure out whether you need wide or extra wide because the extra wide is much larger than expected and you may need to add some padding as they have very little built in. My only other complaint is that the boots I received look like they’ve been worn outside with debris stuck to the bottom; they were stuffed with paper and cardboard as if they were brand new but the bottom of the boots has crap stuck to them...I would return them for a new pair but I bought them for a special occasion and will not get the new pair in time. Update: I have had these boots for about a week and a half now and like them even more than I initially did. I took some thin liners out of my Hunters rain boots until I could buy some new ones (and then I just bought some $2 trim to size unisex ones at the grocery store.) the liner really helped because they don’t have much cushion on their own. They are very comfortable with the liner. I was worried they were too wide in the calf and that they were hard to walk in due to being too loose but I’m comfortable with the size now. I wore them shopping for over 6 hours and was very comfortable. They also don’t scuff easily, the leather seems pre-treated but you may still want to spray it so it’s water resistant and the quality seems really good for the price. I think I will probably order some other colors and would definitely suggest these if you have wide calves. I think you could comfortably wear them if you had 19” calves or maybe a bit larger, though I don’t know how much the calf size goes up with the shoe size so mine may just be extra big since I ordered size 12. I ordered a cheap $30 paid of boots and they were such crap and it really made me appreciate these. Though I never did hear back from the seller about being sent boots that were clearly used and super dirty. Read more

My shoe size has changed from 6 to 6.5/7 wide. I also have xwide calves. These fit the bill. I got in black & brown. Even though not leather, nice looking boots. I wouldn't wear them in winter, outside alot, as I don't think they're super warm, but great for fashion. Read more

I wanted a wide leather boot and got a wide cheap leather boot with HUGE calf size. I only wanted the foot part to be wide, not the calf size to be enormous! Also, the leather is very cheap-looking. Read more

I have shopped around for TONS of different wide-calf boots, and tried these out. They are the widest calf boots I have ever tried on! However, the part around the ankle was WAY to loose, and upon walking around in them, my heel would actually rise up and down, although the footbed was the right size and tightness. I didn't see a way around the loose ankle problem, so I returned them, but I could definitely see these being the right choice for the wide-calf customer that can never find boots wide enough! So I would still recommend them based on their size, style, and comfort. Read more
