We’ve been using this Conair hair dryer long enough to have opinions, and the bottom line is that it’s a solid everyday dryer. The retractable cord genuinely cuts clutter, tap the button, guide the cord in, and it disappears into the handle like a tape measure. Airflow on high is plenty for a quick dry, and the 3 heat/2 speed setup covers the basics without turning your bathroom into a wind tunnel. It’s lightweight enough for a full head of hair without wrist ache, and the price is affordable. A reliable, no-drama dryer. The cord itself is a bit shorter than non-retractable models, so outlet placement matters. Build quality is okay and the noise level is average (not unbearable, not quiet). Similar to the Revlon hair dryer I had for a very long time that finally stopped working. I love the retractable cord, it works really well, so far. I have an iron with a retractable cord that is very hard to get to retract on the first try but I am not having that problem with this hair dryer. My only negative comment is that I don't think it gets hot enough. I have short hair so it's fine for me but I'm not sure it would work as well on long thick hair. It’s a great hair dryer, the heat works great! The cord doesn’t want to retract, and that happened shortly after getting it, with my wife’s anyway. It dries hair fast, and does what it’s supposed to in drying. It’s the putting away that’s a hassle, when it shouldn’t be. The concept is great, I think there might be a weakness in the design, respectfully. It’s great, other than the retractable cord, which is the main purpose for getting this particular hair dryer.
