I feel like I’ve truly, now, entered the 21st century. I was using some old scrub hairdryer, from who know what year and to which I never had a complaint, and it started making loud peculiar noises. Time to buy a new hair dryer - I thought. So I did. Holy crap this thing is awesome! I don’t know if it’s awesome compared to today’s standards or superior compared to my previous model, but the thing can dry hair - Better than a jet-ski, better than flying an airplane with the top off, better than sticking your head out of the car window while driving across the Mohave on a hot summer day. If you’re debating, just buy it. It’s cheap. It get the job done. It dries hair. It also has a silky satin-feeling finish that makes for a nice (literal) touch. Afterword: There are some complaints and reviews about it being loud. It’s a hair dryer. They are loud. It’s not overly loud, by any standard. Some reviewers seem to be expecting the quietness of soft loving mouth blows and exhales with the drying power of a jet engine. Don’t let the idiots distract you from buying a superior product. I had purchased this item for myself once and my daughter came home from college and looked pitiful that her hair dryer had died. I gave her my new one in the box. She called me to say it was the best hair dryer she had ever used. She and I both have a lot of hair. Hers is long ringlets and mine is wavy. After using the one I gave her I could see I would never be happy again with my older Conair model so I gave in and purchased this one for me. It blows dries my hair quickly (that never happens with other dryers). Although it does not matter, I must admit this hair dryer is sharp looking. I highly recommend it to people who do not have a ton of time to work on their hair and for those who have long and/or very thick hair. Read more
My previous hair dryer was the Revlon 1875 Ceramic Ionic model with infra-red technology that I purchased almost exactly 3 years ago and it was not drying my hair as well as it once had. The same hair dryer is still available but I wanted a better concentrator, so this is the model that I chose to try second. (First I tried the Conair 1875 Watt Cord Keeper 2-in-1 Styler / Hair Dryer; Purple. I noticed an improvement in drying speed immediately, but it felt so heavy! Next, the short cord proved to be an issue. Its tendency to twist up was annoying and I spent a good amount of time untwisting it while I was drying my hair. Lastly, I knew it did not have a hook/loop of any type (like my previous model has) but I thought that might not be a big deal. I have since learned that (for me) a hook/loop is a must-have. Before returning it, I bought this model. I wanted to be able to compare them, as well as get some stats like wind speed, weight, and decibels.) So far I love it and have since returned the first model I bought. As you can see below, this model is actually heavier than the Conair Cord Keeper (although it feels lighter), so I asked my husband's opinion on the three and he thought it felt like the Cord Keeper is not balanced very well. I also immediately noticed an improvement in drying speed and air speed over the Conair Cord Keeper (5mph faster on high!). I have not yet tried the Argan Oil that it came with. I'm a little apprehensive because my hair is a short-ish, layered bob so I'm afraid I may use too much. I always used to buy Conair, but I switched to another brand based on a hotel stay. I really liked the hotel model, but I’m so happy I’m back with Conair. It is a little loud, but whatever, it has power and dries my hair well. I also like the concentrator...so much better than my last one. The only negative is that it doesn’t have a retractable cord, which would be phenomenal, but in my research, it seemed the ones with retractable cords didn’t match up review-wise than the ones without...so far this working well for me! This think works really well. It drys my hair really fast on high without using too much heat. On medium it works really well for styling. My hair always feels softer and more full when I use it. I know that sounds a bit crazy but it’s true. I had bought one for my daughter and tried it. She got tired of me using it so I’ll got one for myself. Love it! Read more
I am very happy with Infiniti Pro by Conair. It has 3 heat & 2 speed switches, which I prefer. It dries my hair quickly. It is not too loud. I love the red color & the finish is soft & comfortable to the touch. My young granddaughter likes it because the low heat does not burn her scalp. At 2.4 pounds, it does seem heavier than my previous hair dryer. It does not have a retractable cord, but has a plastic twist tie on it, to keep cord from getting twisted when traveling or not in use.-which I like. Overall I like it very much & would recommend it. This is the strongest blow dryer i have ever had. PLUS the red is an attractive finish, so when i leave it out, it looks attractive. I love my new blow dryer. It's hot, strong, and of course, has options to be cool and less windy... but not what i'm using! Read more
I have been searching for a hair dryer that blows hard enough to dry my thick hair without it taking forever. This dryer can do that! I ordered the purple color which is a really gorgeous bright color. It has multiple settings on it so I can also make it gentle and warm, not hot, to blow dry my Pomeranian without too much fuss.
