I was prepared not to like this travel curling iron, having read some of the reviews after I ordered it (always good to look at those first, right?). But surprise: I love it! Yes, it's very teeny (1" barrel is good), which is what you want when traveling, in fact, I'm a bit obsessed with saving space and weight with minis... but they also have to work well, otherwise, why bother? This does work well on my fine, shoulder length hair (I imagine if you have nice thick hair it might not work as well for you). It took a little bit of getting used to (like, don't try to stuff too much hair into one pass), but it's easy to use and works well. I don't expect to do a whole salon treatment with it, but to just touch up the frizzy parts and make it all a bit better: yes on that. Also, dual voltage, very lightweight, heats and cools quickly – important if you're packing up and taking off from your hotel, as you don't want to be tucking something so hot into your bag. No auto shut off, so be aware of that. It did not come with the promised travel bag, which is a bit disappointing, but I'll make it work. Read more

This little curling iron heats up fast and makes smooth, long-lasting curls. Of course it can't hold as much hair as a normal curling iron - it's tiny, that's the point! I'm definitely taking this on my next trip to Europe. (It's dual voltage, of course.) Hair glides so smoothly over the barrel that I'm going to use it as both a flat iron and a curling iron when I travel. Mine doesn't fit in the pouch with the cord - but there's an elastic strap on the side of the pouch that does hold the cord so it's all contained. And supposedly the pouch is heat-resistant so you can pack it up right after using it. (I haven't tried it yet, but that's what the user guide says.) All in all, nice product in a convenient size. I will be taking this tiny curling iron to Europe. I usually use a 1.5" barrel, but couldn't find this in a travel size. I used it to curl my hair yesterday as a trial run. It works and is exactly what the descriptions says it does. I have medium thick hair about 5" below my shoulders. I was able to curl all the ends of my hair and a few locations I took the time to curl the full strand of hair in about 5 minutes. It is easy to do the ends but definitely took some dexterity and time to do the full length curls. It is doable but will need to get used to it (and I have small hands). However, the positive outweighs the difficulty. It is TINY, lightweight and easy to travel. Dual voltage. I'm traveling with a carry on and a backpack only, so this is a necessity. I just wish it was about an inch longer with slightly more barrel length and cool tip length and came in different barrel widths. Read more

Okay and great for travel but the barrel is way too short. Takes a lot of maneuvering to work with this. Read more

If you pay attention to the size of the barrel, the general design, and the product description, most of the complaints for this item come down to people not reading the description more carefully. I've had this model since 2017 (it's now the end of 2022) and used it for frequent travel. I have a previous model I use as my daily iron (since I have very little bathroom storage area) and it's held up since 2014. Are there limits to it's awesomeness? * Yes, it's small. That's the point. If you have really thick hair, this probably isn't the product for you. It will take too long for you to section off all the many areas you'll need sectioned to get the right curl. *Yes, it only has one setting. That setting is HOT. So if you are keeping your hair on it for ages, you're doing it wrong. I've never burned my hair. *If you're used to grabbing the end point of an iron and doing a double-handed job of it, you'll just need to adjust to a 1-handed way to use it. It's clearly not designed to be held at the far end. But all of these issues are pretty evident in the picture, dimensions, and description. It's exactly what it says it is. It's not going to work for a lot of people because of that. I do have long hair, but I also have patience and the willingness to take the time necessary to use a small-capacity iron. If you want larger capacity to put more hair on the barrel? This isn't for you. Just one of those things! Read more

I loved this for the few times it worked. It was EXACTLY what I was hoping for - a small curler that would be great for travel and didn’t take up room with a big cord. However, after using it only 4 times, it will no longer keep a charge. When I plug it in, it shows that it’s charging, and even appears to be fully charged. I able to turn it on, but before it can even heat up, it shuts off and has no power. If it still kept a charge, this would be the ideal travel curler because there would be no worrying about voltage in different countries and no fussing with a long cord. I’m super bummed. Read more

I LOVE this mini curling iron. It works better than my big one because it heats up so quickly. It is strong, but powerful. I use a different technique to curl my hair where I move from the top and quickly curl and move down my hair. I have long hair and use my own technique where I quickly curl from the top and loosen my grip and move down my hair while curling and grabbing the next bunch - it allows me to curl each group of hair quickly. I have decently thick asian hair, and it curls it beautifully into nice beachy waves. If I want it curlier, I can just let the curling iron sit in each spot for just a second or two longer. I'm done with my entire head of long hair in 5 minutes tops. I also love how I can just put a hot iron into the case and the plug can be wound up and put on the outside of the case so it doesn't get hot. This is my go-to curling iron and I don't even use my other bigger curling irons at home. Absolutely love this curling iron and everyone who sees me use it always asks me about it since they like my hair. I've used this thing for a few years now, and it works great still. Love it so much that I buy it for others who need a curling iron and want a beachy waves like mine! Read more
