Excellent water bottle. Sleek, tall, and easy to use. Keeps water cold. The best part about drinking out of this water bottle is you don’t have to move your head. So, when you’re driving, or having to pay attention, you never have to take your eyes off the road or whatever you’re looking at. Very important! These bottles are a good size 20 oz for me - not too big or small. The have a more narrow spot near the top for me small hand to grasp and not drop the bottle as much - which I do often. They keep water cold for a very long time - if I put too much ice in, it doesn't melt much overnight. I like the straw because I don't have to lift the bottle to drink from it which makes it easier to drink water while driving - I don't have to tilt my head back. It doesn't leak. I purchased my first bottle at least 6 years ago and it's still going strong. I have put ice water, tea and even club soda (I know it's not recommended and you get a spray if you don't open slowly) in it over and over. It keeps it cold all day in the office; overnight and if you use a lot of ice it will last even longer. I have also used it for hot beverages but in Florida we usually carry water. It's been dropped, left on its side (slight leak from probably operator error a couple of times other times none); but kept its integrity and kept the beverages cold. I liked it so much over time I have purchased two more. I like it more than my Odwalla. It is a little sleeker and fits more comfortably in the car and I think it cools better. Would make a great gift. What I really love is the "straw" is protected PLUS it is not a circular straw ladies but more of an oval shape which you will appreciate if you have been warned of those lip lines from using other traditional straw shapes. Also the straw/mouthpiece is self contained so there are parts to keep track of or lose. It easily comes apart to clean. There are only three pieces to clean and as long as you remember to tamp down the inner straw piece you will never have a problem. This is not a paid review - I just really like the product. This is the perfect water bottle. It doesn’t leak at all when it’s turned over! It’s also kind to your teeth. If you accidentally bump your lip or your teeth with the spout, it won’t hurt because the spout is soft. 3rd of all…my water stays cold ….literally for 16 hours! This is the 3rd time buying it. I lost my old Contigo Ashland and thought, no big deal - I'll just pick up a new one. Lo and behold, this original model is next to impossible to find - even checking through ebay listings! The new Ashland 2.0 model is slightly larger, but does away with the carabiner clip on the handle - the most useful part of this bottle in my opinion. I have searched and searched for another bottle with the same features - insulated metal, straw, carabiner clip - and come up empty time after time. I ordered this one hoping it was the same as my old one - and it absolutely was! Clip works great; straw works great - even the air hole is nice and silent. As usual - it keeps contents cold for hours, especially with ice. I plan to buy several more for when even this seller runs out of stock. Shipping was surprisingly fast for coming from the UK. Note for people talking about carbonated / hot beverages - since this is air-sealed, the carbonation will build-up if you move (shake/jostle) the bottle around and spurt out the spout when opened; and drinking hot items with a straw is always dangerous because straws can make liquid come out faster, and you can't gauge the temperature as well as other drinking measures. If you're aware of these considerations, you can absolutely put carbonated or hot beverages in this. Just be careful! Read more
