I absolutely love this coffee travel cup. It’s not easy to find a good 24 ounce travel mug. I specifically wanted Contigo because it’s a good quality, dependable brand. This keeps my coffee hot for hours. And I mean HOT. Be careful and maybe let it cool a bit before putting the lid on. The lid opens from the underside with a hinge for easy cleaning. No disassembly required. When the lid is on the cup, the pour button is on the opposite side of the opening. So, as you hold the cup, you press it with your fingers as you drink from the opening on your thumb side. Next to the button, there is a small button you slide side to side to lock or unlock the pour opening. No accidental spills. Both lid and cup are dishwasher safe on the top rack. This mug does everything it advertises. Easy to use, well insulated, air tight, spill proof, keeps my beer cold. I shopped for a Yeti or Stanley, but the price was too high for my wallet. This is an excellent mug. Have not used it for coffee yet, but I'm sure it would be fine. Read more

I bought these to replace others I'd had for eight or nine years. I've done a fair amount of research, and questioned many friends, and Contigos are certainly among the best-quality travel bottles on the market. Sadly I lost the cap for one, and broke the other. Unfortunately Contigo no longer has replacements for that size. (Yeah... they do the Apple thing, slightly changing the circumference of different models, so you can only get replacement caps for so long. Grrr). They are very good quality, and have a double lock system that allows you to throw them upside-down into a bag with no leaks. I'm a senior woman with smallish hands, and find these comfortable to hold. They will keep hot drinks warm, if not fully hot, for four to six hours They keep cold drinks cold for quite a bit longer. The taste and smell of coffee, tea and milk does stick in the plastic caps. I find the best cleaning method, by far, to be the dishwasher. The soaking methods suggested in the instructions do help some, but not fully. I keep one cap reserved and labeled for tea only, otherwise the taste of coffee that lingers in the cover spoils the taste of the tea. If you carry tea or coffee with milk, do make sure to rinse or wash the cap ASAP. I travel for 15-16 hours at a stretch, so I make an effort to store the bottle right-side-up, to keep the milk from going bad in the cap by the end of my very long day. Read more

I am a bona fide, hot drink lover: coffees, teas, lattes, broth, hot chocolate, etc. Contigo has been one of my favorite brand for years. I purchased my mug about five years ago, and I started noticing that it was slowly no longer retaining heat. Since this one on sale, why not grab it? Based on other reviews, it had one of the main things I treasured the most in a good mug, not leaking. My 1st cup of coffee using this mug was perfect and I had to test to see if it leaked. Keeps coffee hot but not as long as my Stanley did, though can't complain because it was cheaper. The lid is much easier to clean then my Stanley but doesn't screw on as easy. I've only dropped it a couple times and so far nothing broke or dented. The lid is leakproof as advertised and has a lock to keep it from accidentally getting opened. I searched a lot of reviews before deciding on this mug after having my Stanley for 15 years and am happy with my choice so far. Read more

Fantastic heat/cold retention. My coffee stayed hot for over 12 hours. I finally decided to replace my 12 year old contigo with this new one I'm impressed with how hot my coffee stayed all day long, steaming hot. It doesn't leak when I shook it vigorously.
