I have been using the jell eye masks to help with pain relief during migraine headaches. They work well and last a bit longer but they begin leaking fairly quickly. I love the way this mask doesn’t get hard and feels really comfortable. The only negative for me is that the cold doesn’t last as long but overall I love it and it really helps with pain relief and is much more comfortable than the jell bead masks. I purchased two of these cooling face masks for a surgery. I kept both masks in the freezer and would alternate them to help with swelling. They worked fabulously! As you can see from the photos, they are very large and cover most of my face and several inches on the sides and back of my head as well. They stay cool enough to help with the swelling from around 5 to 7 minutes. They stay cool for even longer than that if you're just using them for your morning routine. These are very well-made with no rough places on them and they have a very large Velcro in the back, so there will be no slipping off your head. I believe they would be great for a headache as in addition to the cooling. They also block 100% of light. Most comfortable cooling eye mask i've tried. It gets the temples and above and below eyes very well. Onpy complaint is it doesnt stay cold as long as some others. However because it gets more area its fine with me. Stays on well and is very comfortable. Fabric is soft and doesnt feel rough or damaging. As someone with long hair i can easily put this one one without catching my hair in the velcro. The wide strap around the head provides good grip so it stays in place. Overall its well made and feel quality, something that will last awhile (years) The velcro makes it easy to adjust to your head size so it stays in place. I've only had this for 4 hours and I am feeling so much better I had surgery on my forehead yesterday and I needed something good, I ordered this at 7pm nd by 5 pm today it was here.
