The pillow is longer than expected. It's a firm pillow and supportive. I honestly didn't get the cooling effect. It seemed the same as any other pillow. I do like that it does retain my sleeping shape. Regardless of cooling feature or not, I like the pillow and feels comfortable. The pillow covering had a strong chemical smell so I washed it and this removed the smell. The actual pillow smelled as well, I had to leave it outside in the sun for a week to remove the smell. I was afraid to wash it because the interior being made up of small particles of foam, I didn’t think it would dry properly. The pillow is comfortable, I would say a medium hardness.
