To my surprise this came with a vent attachment to go with the phone base. I bought the cup holder for my dad’s Lexus sedan 2019 model. We have been unable to find a vent attachment that fit. Only bought two, but neither style fit. Thus, buy a cup holder for his phone. The vent attachment worked! The cup holder also works well. The phone holder base works with the vent attachment and the cup holder attachment. Took a few minutes to figure out how to work the cup holder attachment because directions are not clear . The Coolpow cup phone holder is just what I was looking for to hold my phone up on a recent trip. (I wanted to have my phone up closer so that I could see the map, for directions). It's made from really nice materials; it feels sturdy and strong--I don't worry that I'm going to snap anything when I rotate or adjust parts--and it's incredibly easy to install and move around. The main reason I got it is because it fits in my cupholders, but not only that, it's the kind that you rotate the base to fit it (make it larger or smaller). That component works like a *charm*! And the little pieces that come out when you rotate the base, they have padding on them, so that if the cupholder is unevenly shaped, you can still get a perfectly snug and secure fit. It's fabulous! The upright stand is rigid, and in order to adjust the height you have to unscrew a knob to raise or lower the phone holder platform, which I understand is smart (to keep from accidentally bumping the phone height). I do wish that there was like, a ball joint or something on the upright, so that I could swing the phone out of the way when I need to (more than I can). I can rotate it, and extend it a ways, but I think a ball or elbow joint that I could fold it down in some way would make it even better. The phone holding platform itself is SO COOL--it has two small buttons that you press, and the big "wing" clamps zip out very wide--then you just set your phone in, and squeeze the clamps closed. Custom fit, completely secure hold! I have an extendable-grip socket holder on the back of my (fairly thick) case, and I don't have to remove it for my phone to be held securely. Every phone we've tried in the holder has fit completely! And, there's a wide area in the bottom of the platform, so there's plenty of space for a charging cable to plug in. All in all, this is a *fantastic* cup phone holder. There's only the one little thing that I'd change (and it's just an addition, so nothing I'd change-change!), and you get all of these features for a super reasonable price. I got this cell phone holder to replace my old one that lasted for over 15 years. I prefer cell phone holders that mount into a cup holder because it places the cell phone in easy reach. The old one I am replacing was very similar to this new one but from different manufacturers. When using a cup holder cell phone holder, your cup holder needs to be round. If your cars cup holders are not round, this may not be the cell phone holder for you but please read on because it is not just a cup holder your of cell phone holder. Getting back to how I am using it first though (my cup holders are round), the device easily fits into my standard size cup holders and then easily adjusts so that it sits firmly (very firmly) in the cup holder. Once adjusted for a firm fit, the cell phone holder is not going to go anywhere unless you want it too. It is very firmly in the cup holder and is not coming out unless you loosen it. That is very important because the one weakness of cell phone holders like this is that they don't mount firmly enough into the cup holder. That is not an issue with this one though. The piece that actual holds the cell phone easily adjust for width and height of the cell phone and the buttons to relax the width adjustment are right up front and easy to get too which makes removing your cell phone just a simple button press away without having to feel around for the button. As I stated further up, this isn't just a cup holder style of cell phone holder. It also comes with an air conditioner vent mount that you can attach the piece that holds the cell phone too instead of the cup holder arm. I have this piece a try to see how it works and it works well. The party that attached to the vent is adjustable so you can tighten it's grip on the air conditioner vent. Once tightened up, it is firmly held in place. The cell phone holder also comes with an optional adhesive mount. This is probably the weakest of the three and I did not want to test this one but it also comes with alcohol preps to clean the area of your dashboard you are going to stick it too. It is impressive on how thorough the manufacturer was in ensuring you can use this cell phone holder and they have included everything you need to use it.
