The heat goes from 290 to 450 and the 290 degree heat is no way low enough, it is way to hot for my hair. The dial to turn the heat is very hard to turn, nothing to really grip and hold on to for precision turning and is right under the squeeze handle which makes it hard for my fingers to reach, very tight fit. The press down handle to hold the hair on the curling rod feels very clickity and tight, there is no flow to the grip when wrapping hair, no smoothness. The stand that is supposed to hold this very, very hot curling iron upright on the counter is not stable at all, it is very small and not stable enough to hold the weight of the curling iron and cord, and the hot curling iron falls to the side on the counter top and can burn it and has fallen off the counter top which is very unsafe.
