I’ve used this automatic rotating curling iron a few times now, and once I got the technique down, it produced consistent, polished curls/waves faster than a standard curling iron. I have medium-long fine hair, and I typically curl it in sections. When I use a standard curling iron (for wrapping/wand method), I normally have to load my hair up with hairspray before and after curling for the curl to stay in my hair for only a few hours, and I almost always get that gross burnt smell that stays in my hair for a few days. When I've used my previous auto-curler, I only needed to use heat protectant before, and just a spritz of hairspray after, for the curls to last until the next day -- also next to no burnt hair smell. Compared to my current auto-curling iron (BaByliss PRO), this is much lighter to hold and easier to maneuver, with fewer awkward section-feeding moments and hair snags. The Inovocare curler is also much easier on the hands when all you have to do is load each hair section in the top of the easy guide, rather than having to keep the clamp held down the entire time the hair is curling with the BabyBliss (annoying and tiresome). Curl Results & Method Difference (Important) These two tools, and all auto-curlers, don’t produce identical results: 1. My BaByliss PRO auto-curler creates structured “traditional” curls where the hair is curled on top of itself (clamp-style curl) -- the same curl-type is also produced with hair rollers. I also have difficulty getting curls close to the top of my head due to the bulky head of the curler, and it strains my hands and arms because it is heavy and you have to keep it clamped while the hair is heating. 2. The Inovocare curler creates curls by rotating hair around the outside of the wand for the length of the barrel (wand method), which gives looser, modern, and more natural-looking waves. Due to the way the hair loads in the barrel, it is must easier to get curls that start at the top of your head. You also don't have to keep anything pressed or held while you're waiting for your hair to curl, and the waiting position of your arm is more comfortable. Heat, Speed & Hold I used this at the ~350°F setting, with heat protectant only (no hairspray), and the curls held well throughout the day—about 6–8 hours before relaxing, and they were still there the next morning. The 8-second beep timer is a big plus and keeps styling fast and consistent without accidentally over-heating sections. I can curl my entire head even faster than with my traditional auto-curler, or a standard barrel. Also, I did not get any burnt hair smell. Comfort & Learning Curve The rotating function helps with curl consistency, but you still need clean, smaller sections. If you overload it, it can twist awkwardly—this isn’t a “mindless” tool, so you still need to practice a little to get the hang of it. After 2-3 curls, it felt natural, but if you have never used an auto-curler before it may take you longer. The barrel length is ideal for getting the classic "wand curl" look, it performs consistently on longer sections, and can curl hair all the way up to the top of your head. Bottom Line If you want a fast tool that gives modern, wand-style, looser waves, that doesn't weigh down your hands and arms, this one delivers. Just know it’s a different curl pattern than a traditional clamp curl or hair roller: this gives the wrapping/wand curl look. Read more

This rotating curling iron has been a great surprise. I have very thick, very long, wavy hair, and I am usually hesitant to try anything that claims to auto curl. I always worry about tangling or my hair getting stuck, but this did not tangle my hair once, which really impressed me. It did take a little time to figure out the best way to use it, even after reading the directions, but once I got the hang of it, it was easy to work with. It heats up to a high temperature, which is important for my hair type. My hair is coarse and wavy, and lower heat settings usually do not hold a curl well for me. I also like that there are multiple heat settings, which makes it a great option for households with different hair textures so everyone can use the same tool. I do wish there were an option for a longer barrel since my hair is so long. That said, the curls were very consistent and similar to what I get from a 1.25" to 1.5" curling iron, which is the size I typically use. The only issue I noticed is when feeding the hair through the slot and sliding the tool closer to my scalp. Sometimes a bit of hair would shift upward during that process, creating a slight teasing effect at the root. I was able to reduce that by using smaller sections, but I personally prefer larger sections for the style I like and to save time when curling my whole head. I think this curling iron would be an excellent option for people who struggle with traditional curling irons, anyone just learning how to use hot tools, or even those with mobility issues. Overall, I have really liked it so far and would recommend it. Read more

HAVE TO FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS! I’m yelling that in caps so someone like me reads this review and tries it cause I did it my way and did not read them and it didn’t work well at all. THEN I decided to read the instructions the next day and wouldn’t you know it, it worked a whole lot better haha! Seriously glad I read them. I can only speak for my hair type- I have a lot of hair, but it’s really fine. I can wear it natural with wavy curls straight out of shower with a curl cream, but if I brush it out and air dry without product it’s frizzy. When I style my hair I use a wand and sometimes flat iron the ends—my hair holds curl really well so again, I cannot speak to other hair types. This product works really well for my hair! And it’s been so helpful for me in particular because I have been having a hard time styling my own hair for 5ish years. I have multiple sclerosis which has caused issues with certain muscles and a large lesion in my thoracic and cervical spine. Holding up any hair tool is not fun and I have to cut out a chunk of time to do it. This actually helps with that and I appreciate that fact the most! I will sometimes take a hot iron through it just to touch the ends up or front parts. I’ve used it 3 times now and it seems like a really well made product. It’s solid and comes packaged really well too. Very high end feel to it. Would buy again! Read more

I’ve been using the Inovocare Upgraded Automatic Rotating Curling Iron – CurlPro Plus for a few days now, and it’s one of the best styling tools I’ve used. I have long hair and it works great with my long hair. This makes curling SO easy no twisting and tugging like with traditional wands. Just clamp, hold, the wand does all the work for you. Perfect for long, thick hair. I can wrap more hair in one go and get consistent curls top to bottom. The curls last most of the day My hair feels smooth and not fried. This has duel voltage so you can use when traveling over seas. I love the color purple so the lavender color just seals the deal for me. I love this curling iron! Read more
