It's definitely mini! 99% of the time I'm not the sort of person to care enough about how I look to carry a curling iron/flatiron around with me, but for that 1% of the time, it's nice to have one on hand. And this one does the job quite well. I will say it doesn't seem to get quite as hot as I would expect, but on the other hand I haven't used a heat tool on my hair in YEARS so I might remember them being hotter than they actually were. I love the fact that it's rechargeable via USB-C, which means I can charge it in my car if need be. If it were something I were going to be using daily, the small size would be an absolute deal breaker - I have a LOT of long, thick hair, and the idea of trying to do my entire head with something this small makes my back and shoulders hurt just thinking about it. But for touch-ups when you're out and find that one little strand that won't go where it's supposed to, this is just the thing you want. All my (first) wedding pictures show one tiny rebellious little stick of RIGIDLY straight hair standing perfectly at attention, stabbing down at my eyelid (as if to say "Look at her! Getting married at 18! She's lost her mind!" LOL) while all the rest of my hair was beautifully curled and primped and floating. At least a dozen people stopped me that day to try to spread out that little stabby strand of hair and soften the look, at least fan it out a little or try to tuck it under the curled bits. I must have pulled out six bobby pins from that part of my hair that night, where people had tried to help me tuck it away, but it refused to be contained. If I'd had a portable flatiron or hair curler back in 1987, the marriage would still have been a disaster but at least the pictures would have been lovely! This little flat iron has earned a permanent spot in my work bag. It’s incredibly lightweight at less than a pound and fits easily into my purse without taking up much space. After charging it fully with my own USB-C adapter which took about 3 hours, it was ready to go. The included anti-scald cover is a really thoughtful touch for tossing it back in my bag right after use. It heats up impressively fast. I can turn it on and it's ready for my bangs in under a minute. There are three heat settings and I found that for my hair, the lowest 320 F setting is plenty hot and also helps conserve the battery. It can go up to 400 F for hair that needs a bit more convincing. The ceramic plates glide smoothly and don't pull or snag my hair, which is great for quick frizz control after my commute. It's perfect for taming my bangs or adding a little flip to the ends of my bob. It leaves my hair looking smooth and polished in just a few passes. The one area where it falls short for me is the battery life. I get about 30 minutes of total use from its battery before it needs another charge. This is fine for a few days of quick touch ups, but it does mean I need to be mindful of charging it regularly since it can't be used while plugged in. This is a lifesaver for anyone with short hair needing quick fixes, but I wouldn't recommend it as a primary styler for those with long or thick hair. This is a hefty little thing is great! If you have kinky hair 4A/4B, this is not going to be your silk press straightener. It’s not big enough and doesn’t get hot enough. However, why 5 stars? Because this is amazing as a touch up tool. Rainy day and leave out not looking so great? This flat iron takes care of it. So I use my usual straightener and I keep this little guy in my bag. It travels great! It is very portable without feeling flimsy. It has a little silicone sleeve for the hot part. Uses a type C charger, which is so convenient. Battery power is really decent I get two to three uses out of one charge. About 15ish minutes at a time. Plus it charges an easily so I don’t mind too much. I do like it. Read more

if I could give this greater than five stars I would. When I first opened it up, I kind of wondered where everything was but all I had to do is pull the plastic part that held the curling iron up, and there was a multitude of things underneath it. There were pink hair clips that I use, the charging cord the instruction manual. this works extremely well and it is very easy to use. The size means I can take it with me to work or to the gym. It is a very good quality and I am extremely pleased with this. I will buy it again for my sister as a gift. It is a fair price and I really highly recommend it. Read more

Wanted to love this, but it’s just too small for thick, wavy hair. It would take me forever to do my whole head with it. That said, it’s actually perfect for quick touch-ups like straightening bangs, smoothing face-framing pieces, or fixing a bend in your ponytail.
