Nice travel mug, things stay cold quite a while, rubber o-ring wanted to pop off once or twice but I noticed it. Doesn't leak and top clips down securely when not in use. If you want to try something else other than Contigo, give this one a try not too bad at all Read more

I used these cups back when they were labeled “Rubbermaid” and they were always the easiest to clean and kept my coffee hot even on the coldest New England mornings. I still use these Contego labeled travel cups and they’re still the simplest design of the cups out there, the only thing I would like to see changed is the tiny stopper nipple, it doesn’t last very long but luckily the cup will usually still seal even after this small nipple breaks off. This mug was a good mug when we first got it, but be careful when cleaning the lid. There is a gasket around the little post that covers the mouth hole, and if that comes off and is not replaced (we didn't notice when it came off because it was a black gasket on a black lid), the liquid inside will leak out if the mug is tilted even a little. We bought a new one, which works fine, but I check for that little gasket every time I fill it. Read more

Much better than I expected. I wanted stainless and to use this for my morning coffee. Was pleasantly surprised that the build quality was that good and when filled with hot coffee the temperature when I hold it did not increase. At the top obviously the temperature will be slightly higher. I am satisfied with my purchase. Read more

First, I have 2 of these. A silver and a blue one. I liked the size and the fact that they don’t leak, other than the small vent hole in the middle of the lid. If dropped or otherwise held upside down, that hole may “weep” a very small amount of liquid in the form of a drop or 2. The blue cup is painted and somewhat fragile, so is pretty easily chipped. It’s showing its age after a year and a quarter. Also, I think the vacuum seal used for insulation has failed, since it no longer keeps (usually iced water) cold for 12 hours or so. The silver cup is clearcoated, which has started to orange-peel after almost 2 years. It still has its insulation, though. Neither has ever been in a dishwasher and always carefully hand-washed(and mostly just the inside, and microfiber wipe on the outside). Good, solid cup/mug for the money, but they aren’t the best. My ownership experience is limited to these, and it seems there are better, longer lasting cups out there. These fill all my requirements otherwise. The seal can make it rather difficult to remove the lid, but not a lot of force is needed to establish a seal, so I feel it’s appropriate. I’m ordering one more (to replace the blue one) but I think that’s about all of these that I’ll buy. I looked for them on sale, so I haven’t paid more than $14-15 for any of them, but may try another brand next time. At least they’re stainless steel and mostly recyclable, other than the lid! I was looking for a travel coffee mug that wouldn't leak & was dishwasher safe to clean. I wasn't happy with the Contigo mug I got as it needed 2 hands to drink (!!) Looked again on Amazon and found this one. Instead of buttons to push it has a lid that folds up & down. It's not perfect but works with 1 hand = easier for me to manage while driving. Plus less expensive. I'll probably buy another so I have a couple. Update - I Detest This Mug. After using it for several months all I can say is: It Leaks. Very frustrating. I'm throwing it out. The reason it leaks is the way the top screws on. If you don't get it on perfectly it leaks. I have a feeling the thin uninsulated mug part has warped which is why screwing the top on cannot be achieved. Either way - OUT! Read more
