I bought this for my boyfriend who has really bad arthritis in his hands. I tried it before I gave it to him, and it didn't feel very good going over the joints in my fingers. The massage tool works well for getting the opposite arm when your own hands are just too tired or sore, or if the angle just isn't getting it. What's also great about these massage tools are that when used in the office it is silent, umlike electric massagers, and this takes up very little space. This is my first time using a finger massaging tool. I was playing around with it a bit last night trying to get the hang of proper use. It's a fairly tight little device, so I wasn't able to roll it up and over my knuckles very smoothly. My fingers are also short, which perhaps prevents a smoother up and down movement. It doesn't hurt, but it's definitely "tight" so you feel each direction on the whole finger. The single roller end actually feels quite nice to roll around in your palm, which is sometimes where I get the most hand strain from various projects around the home. It may work well in other small areas, too, and I'll be trying it out on the soles of my feet. I forgot what the little gold bands were for and had to go look it up in the listing. They, too, are quite tight being made of micro metal swirls, but I find them kind of fun. I placed them around various finger joints and can understand why they are noted as acupuncture for fingers (though I've never had acupuncture therapy). Leaving them on for brief periods feels nice, but I can't explain why. With 5 included rings, you can treat one hand at a time. They are also pretty to look at and just squeeze in your palm, LOL. I got this Cotsoco 2-in-1 Finger Massager Roller to help my mom with her painful arthritic hands, and I have to admit that I had my doubts as to its efficacy. So did my mom, and she looked at me like I'd grown a third eye when I unwrapped it and told her to give it a try. Much to our surprise, it worked like a charm! After half a dozen rolls up and down one finger, she started smiling and actually laughed about how good it felt. When she'd finished her hands, I gave it a try on mine (I'm old, too) and felt the same relief. It's amazing! The massager comes nicely packaged in a well-sealed box. The package includes 5 accupressure rings, and while I like them, my mom thinks they're a bit too tight on her fingers.
