I watched a YouTube review on these bamboo swabs before buying them and the guy was actually accurate about everything. I live in a pretty small apartment and these are perfect for small spaces since the little jars don't take up much room on my counter. You get 1200 of them and that is honestly a life saver since I am always running out. The bamboo sticks are so much better than the flimsy paper ones since they actually hold thier shape when you are trying to fix your eyeliner or clean a keyboard. I was a bit worried they might snap but they are fr very sturdy. I keep 1 of the containers in my bathroom and the other in my bedroom, but you could easily toss a few of the small packs in your car or commute bag for emergencies. The packaging is smart since the swabs come in 12 separate bags of 100. The instructions could be better, but I figured it out without much trouble since it is just putting sticks in a jar. The jars are a thick plastic that looks like glass but won't shatter if you drop them on the tile. I have no complaints so far and they arrived exactly as pictured. ⭐️I'M VERY PARTICULAR. ACTUALLY, I'M A QUALITY PSYCHO⭐️ I am VERY particular when it comes to the cotton swabs I use. For years I've only purchased Q-Tips and while I still consider them the best, the quality has gone down quite a bit (the cotton ends aren't as thick anymore). I do clean the inside of my ears with cotton swabs and I can't stand when the swabs are so thin/bare that I stab the inside of my ears. I decided to give these a try because they are pretty affordable and even of they didn't work out for ears, I know my daughter and I would use them for nails and makeup. ⭐️ARRIVAL & UNBOXING⭐️ This set arrived incredibly fast. The plain cardboard box was sealed shut upon arrival. When I cut it open, I was amazed at how many cotton swabs were inside! I don't know if I missed the part where it said this comes with 1200 swabs or if I just ignored it, but you really do get A LOT here! The swabs are packed in sealed plastic bags, so they are totally clean and the tips aren't stretched or fuzzy. There are 100 swabs per bag. I love that these are packed like this because I only open what I use/need and the other bags stay nice and clean/sanitary. There are two small (plain) cardboard boxes, both sealed, inside the main box. Inside, the clear plastic jars are surrounded/protected in plastic (the lids are too). Even the jars are packed with 2 bags (200ct) of cotton swabs. There was no damage to the jars or the swabs upon arrival. There were no unusual or unfortunate odors and the jars didn't have as much as a smudge or scratch on them. ⭐️THE SWABS⭐️ I have to mention, again, that I LOVE that the SWABS come in sealed (zipper push sealed) bags, so they are easy to store and stay clean until I need them. Since we are infamous in this house with spilling brand new, 600+ ct boxes of cotton swabs all over the floor, I really appreciate the fact that that won't happen here! The swabs are just a smidge under 3” long. The 3mm wide wooden sticks are incredibly durable and both ends are covered in cotton. While some of the cotton ends are thicker than others, I wouldn't consider any of the ends to be pathetic or chintzy. The cotton is wrapped quite well (it’s not loose), so you can twirl these around inside your ears (I know…you aren't supposed to do that, but it feels SO good!) and the cotton doesn't get loose or fall off the end. While the amount of cotton on these isn't as generous as Q-Tips used to be, they are comparable to what they are now. That said, with these (or any swabs really), you will have a few (maybe 6 total heads out of a bag of 100 swab/200 heads total) that are on the smaller/thinner side. You can spot those thinner heads easy though, so I save them for things other than cleaning my ears. ⭐️THE CONTAINERS⭐️ The containers are plastic, completely transparent and void of any color. They don't look plastic though, as they are well made and the material is very shiny. To be honest, I prefer glass over plastic and I've never owned plastic containers like this because I feel like they are cheap, but these are so clear and well made that they don't look cheap at all! Plus, they are easy to wipe clean (they don't smudge like glass and they don't get cloudy) and they are much lighter too, so it's easy for me (I have issues with my hands) to lift the lid. The container base is a smidge over 3” tall and 2.75” in diameter. The lid has a lip that sits inside the container, so it stays on well. The round ball/top on the lid is just under .75” tall (making the container + lid 3.75” tall total) and .9” in diameter. The lid is easy to lift and put back on. The plastic material (which is void of unsightly molding lines) is 3mm thick. I have dropped both the lid (numerous times actually) and the whole container onto my granite counter and floor and neither has chipped, cracked or broken. The container (which comes stuffed with 2 packs of swabs) holds 100 swabs with room to spare. You absolutely can pack 200 in there, but it's a tight squeeze and might be hard to get them out. ⭐️VALUE & FINAL THOUGHTS⭐️ The swabs aren't the XL thick swabs, but they are far from the cheap, naked swabs. They are sturdy, durable and they don't fall apart or shed cotton. My daughter, husband and I all clean our ears with them and they are awesome for makeup, nails and everything else. Actually, the bamboo sticks are 1000x better than the paper sticks because they can literally sit in a cup of liquid (even acetone) and not fall apart! The containers are basic, but they are good looking, nice quality and they aren't massive so they don't take up a ton of space on your counter. When you look at other bamboo swabs on this platform, you usually find 500ct for $10. I've purchased several different brands before, and they have all been identical to these. Most of those don't come with a container, but the few that do charge extra for it. Just the fact that you get 1200 swabs here for just 10 is a STEAL. Getting the containers on top of that makes this set a total LOTTO WIN! My daughter took a container for her bathroom and wanted the second for her vanity, but I put it in my bathroom. When I came back to write this review, I decided to buy 3 more sets. When they come, my daughter will have a container for her vanity, I'll be able to put one in the other bathrooms and I'll have 3 left over for whatever. I REALLY want the swabs though because you really can't beat them at this price! ⭐️A NOTE REGARDING MY REVIEW⭐️ As my title states, this review is LONG and full of details. I'll admit, it's very extra for a review of cotton swabs, but I can't help it though. I rely heavily on reviews before I decide to spend my hard earned coins, so I also like to include ALL details- big or small, good or bad- in my reviews that I would want to see myself. I have very high standards (I'm a total quality snob/psycho) and I know how infuriating it is to read vague, rave or downright fake reviews, purchase the product then find that it's trash. That literally lights a fire within me and I would never want to cause that in someone else. My goal is to give you every single detail you need to make your decision to purchase easier.
