I think these would be good for wider feet and calves. I ordered a 9.5 in the brown suede. The faux suede is a pretty good imitation. They are lined with padding which makes them very warm. I think it also helps to maintain their shape along the shaft but it’s not uncomfortable. I am a 9.5 in most shoes. I have an average width foot and a 14 1/2” calf. These were perfect in length but felt a little wide across the vamp and a lot wide in the heel. My heel did slip when walking. Also, the calf seems bigger than standard boots. Generally an average boot will be slightly snug on me and these were a little more roomier. I do like the square toe which provides more room in the toe box. I also like the platform with the stacked heel. They’re not too high and comfortable to walk in. There was also good cushioning in the insole. The only issue I have is the back seem appears to have a slight gather. I don’t know if that is intentional or a manufacturing defect. You can see it in my photos. The current price is under $50, which I think is fair. I think next time I may try a half size smaller, but I think if you have a slightly wider foot or calves then these may be perfect for you. I love wearing skirts and dresses no matter what season it is, and these boots pair perfectly with my outfits. The calves are on the wider side for these types of boots, which make it easy to layer it with socks or stockings in the winter, while leaving space for your legs to breathe during the hotter months. I’m not that tall, and these boots still don’t reach my knees so I don’t know if I would call them knee-high boots, but they are cute regardless. The boots are also fairly comfortable to wear in the shoe part. The square shape of the toe means that my toes don’t get squished while I’m standing or walking. The platform paired with the tall heel also gives me a good amount of height without making me feel like I’m standing on my toes all day. The shoe is decently cushioned as well, making for an overall comfortable wear. The zipper goes all the way up the inner side of the boot, and it zips smoothly once you’ve got both sides of the zipper lined up. I like this because I don’t have to fight my foot into or out of the boot, since the zipper goes all the way to the sole and opens up space for my foot to move in and out. The bottom of the sole has decent grip on the floor, and I haven’t experienced any scary slippery moments yet. Read more
