I ordered these Palitutu Western boots in brown/blue, size 9 for my 13-year-old son, and they exceeded every expectation! I personally own two pairs of Palitutu boots myself, so I already knew the quality would be great — and this pair did not disappoint. The 100% full-grain leather feels thick and durable, yet soft enough to be comfortable right from the first wear. There was no break-in period, and my son said they felt great straight out of the box. The cushioned insole and sturdy shank offer excellent support, and the rubber outsole gives solid traction on all kinds of surfaces. The brown and blue color combination looks even better in person — the contrast stitching and embroidered detailing give these boots a premium, hand-crafted look. The pull tabs make them easy to get on and off, and the fit runs true to size. They hit just above the ankle, giving good coverage without feeling bulky. I wore these boots right out of the box and they were comfortable from the start. The fit in my usual size felt true and the round toe gave enough room without feeling loose. The pull on style was easy and the leather feels soft while still holding its shape. The embroidered design looks even nicer in person and the mix of brown and pink has a great look that stands out without being too bold. Walking in them has been easy since the heel height is manageable and the soles have good grip. They work well with jeans and casual outfits and the inside lining feels smooth against my socks. After a few wears I noticed the leather starting to soften even more without creasing badly. They have been simple to wipe clean and still look new. As a woman's size 11m, I know all too well that it can be difficult to find a brand that offers larger sizes. So I was very happy to see such a great quality boot offered! I've been using these for a couple of weeks now out in the yard and can honestly say that they are holding up well to shoveling, dirt and water! They are definitely waterproof, maybe I should have added some type of sealer to the leather, but my feet have stayed completely dry without it. The sole is heavy duty. Lots of grip and traction! My yard has a steep incline, so in the past I have worn trail shoes to make it up and down without sliding. These are equal to if not better than a standard trail tennis shoe for gripping our Southern California decomposed granite. But they are far superior in the ability to shovel without feeling the shovel on the bottom of my foot. These did come with standard insoles. Just a smidge of foam, with an extra little bit of foam for the arch. Definitely not a quality insole. However, they popped out pretty easily and I was able to cut some new ones to size with a firmer arch as I need being a bit more flat-footed and require a bit more support. So there was plenty enough room to do so for my size medium/ average size foot. However, if you require thicker insoles and have a wider foot, I would probably suggest you size up in order to make everything fit comfortably. While the boots are incredibly stylish and feminine and very well crafted leather and stitching on the exterior, I did feel the need to deduct one star for the inside of the boots. So far, the inside fabric is holding up well, but I wouldn't say that it is the greatest quality on the interior of the boot. Time will tell. But I will say at the time of offering, the going rate for these boots was $200 and I did find the interior lining to be inferior for that price point. I would personally wait for a better bargain to come up as I know product pricing can fluctuate quite regularly! In all, I am incredibly happy with these so far. I do suffer from a joint issue, where I do need to stay away from pointed toe shoes and I am thrilled with the amount of space in these round toe boots. These are full grain leather palitutu branded cowboy boots. This makes my 3rd pair and hubby has his 2 pairs. I have the pointed toe ones, and this is a first round toe, the boot is perfect height if for most occasions and outdoor wear. Very easy to put on and as always with Palitutu brands, these are soft inside full grain leather as with their brands always comfortable to wear. We have a total of 5 pairs of Palitutu boots, technically six but gave the 6th to mother in law for her birthday. Rubber on these are very good and rugged durability. We still have our older palitutu boots going over 2 years now with proper care, they last a very long time. Read more

Update: SOLID 4+ stars after wearing more often. These are extremely comfortable. I have some problematic feet, especially my toes, and the wide toe box, along with the shape of the insole, made these a great boot even when doing a lot of walking. Giving 4 stars, but just barely. They feel well made, the stitching is clean and precise, the heel is firm and formed, and I like the feel of the leather. Cute little features (the heart stitching). The interior has good stitching but the pink fabric doesn’t feel as up to par as the rest of the materials. I also don’t care for the material used for the sole - it is a little slick for a boot where I’d expect something with a little stick. The sizing is true to size if not slightly big, but that is also due to the wider toe box. If you have a narrow heel as I do, you will need an insert because the heel is rather wide. Price point seems on par for the brand and style of shoe. Read more
