Exhaust tube heats the room a lot

Portable AC units in general, not just this brand, put off so much heat on the tubing, that it doesn’t cool the room. Window AC units I have cool the rooms. The 2 rooms with two different brands of portable AC units, cannot cool off because of the heat on the tube. The rooms remain at 89 degrees. It’s so hot it can burn your hand. I just ordered an insulation sleeve to see if it helps. EDIT: the sleeve came. Now the tube won’t go as compact, the unit takes up a lot of space. Definitely the worst decision. Sticking with window units from now on. UPDATE: the room is still hot, and now that the tube is scrunched into the insulation tube, it’s growing mold in it. Avoid portable AC units! Read more

This little AC unit is great in a small den. My room used to be a garage and dosen’t connect with central AC, so it gets hot in the summers so fast. No one likes sleeping in 80 degrees. This little machine helped so much. It holds a large amount of water and you can fill the container with about 6 ice packs to help cool the water. Its got quiet settings for sleep. Love it!! Unfortunately you can not buy an additional window kit if you want to use the AC in different rooms which was very disappointing.
