The listing has really good details and the unboxing video from the manufacturer do show you exactly what to expect. A couple of additional things to point out. The UV is from a bulb which I prefer over others which use "LED" versions. In the unboxing video, the large nut the presenter unscrews to take off the bottom and access the filter is actually the housing where the bulb is located. So, the bulb illuminates the whole interior of the hepa filter material - which I view as good design. The device overall has some weight to it, so it feels like solid build quality and materials. The outer pre-filter - although the manual says it's carbon coated, which would imply odor absorbing, I'm skeptical and wouldn't recommend it if you're only trying to eliminate a smell. The filter size seems small versus the overall unit size, but I tend to feel the better measure is the air flow and it does seem to move air through the device pretty well. The slow speed isn't the quietest I've heard, but also is free of annoying whines, so I imagine most won't mind/notice. There are technically 4 speeds even though only 3 are shown. Going past the third you can move into a turbo option. At that point it moves a lot of air, but that comes with a lot of air noise too. The UV aspect was what I was looking for. It's not an option I'll have turned on all the time, but I think of it like windshield wipers. There's a time and place when it will be handy and help give peace of mind. Read more

Not entirely sure how well they're helping but allergies are clearing up. These run pretty quiet, a very light white noise. They have a sleep mode that turns off lights. They've been running non stop for several weeks with no issues. Working well in 10x10 and 11x14 bedrooms Read more

We bought 3 of these a couple years ago. I think itβs always good to give a review after a year or so to see how the product held up. So here it is. We love our air filters. We live in a high allergy area. This has certainly helped with the quality of indoor air. It has several settings so you can adjust it the way you want it such as using a timer or running constant. It is easy to use and not complicated. You can also make it super quiet during sleep. However itβs sound on low is ever so slight that it is almost like one of those sleep machines. The filters last a long time and can be washed and reused. The replacement of the filter is SO easy. Turn the air filter over, unscrew the big plastic screw and remove cover. Just lift out old filter and replace. Then put the cover back on and screw in place. This is so great for me because Iβm older and have mild arthritis. These units are light but sturdy so you can move it around. They are also stable and well balanced and donβt tip over. The hepafilter and UV light are great for cold and flu seasons. Price is great. I canβt say enough good things. Our units have lasted without fail! Highly recommend! Read more

Pleased with the purchase. Noticeable difference in air quality right away. High speed is noisy but other settings are quiet. Deduct one star because the instruction manual does not give a part number for the UV bulb replacement. Right now replacement filters are $10. Read more

We love this air purifier. We cannot use black pre-filters, but thankfully these black pre-filters are easily removable. We've been using our air purifier for a couple months now to help with dust, and indoor hay/rabbit smells. It works great. We use it in a 10'x10' room on quiet mode at night during sleep. We've tried it in a 30'x15' room, and it works well too, but we have to run it on a higher speed, so it is a little more noisy, but tolerable. Read more

I purchased both the EE-5069 (500 sq ft), and the EE-5067 (250 sq ft). Both seem to be of quality construction with quality filters. This is a comparison review of my observations. EE-5067: -Shorter tower -Filter: (HS-1944) design has outer black carbon coated filter, that according to the manual, should be cleaned once a month by vacuum cleaner, using a brush attachment, and the filter replaced every 3-6 months. -Sound: has a whirring sound on all 4 settings; the volume level is otherwise about the same as 5069. On level 1 the whirring is slightly audible. - UV light can be on/off EE-5069 -Taller tower -Weight: comparable to the 5067 - Filter (HS-1943): much larger filter size, and does NOT have an outer black carbon filter. The carbon layer of the filter on this model is innermost layer of the filter. Manual states do not attempt to wash; replace filter every 3-6 months. -Sound: level 1 is inaudible, with slight detectible airflow. Has 4 levels progressively louder. UV: UV Light can be turned on/off independent of the blue air quality indicator light. (Took me a bit to figure this out). I prefer the blue indicator light to stay off, with the internal UV light to stay on. Overall, I like the round taller design and non-whirring sound of 5069 over the 5067, however the filter for 5067 is less than a third of the cost of the replacement filter for 5069, so it makes sense to use the 5067 for smaller spaces, up to 250 sq. ft. I'll update my review later after I've had a longer time to assess air quality and purifier performance. Read more
