As others have said, this clamp-on phone holder is nice and sturdy. The phone clamp end is strong, the elbows are tight and the pole clamp end seems to hold well. What else could you ask for! This would be a good choice for a phone mounted to a vertical stand, while it provides less satisfying tilting options if mounted to a horizontal member like the edge of a desk. Very solid. Amost all metal, so no plastic parts to break. Very tight grip,so I'm not worried about my 13" ipad falling off. Fits with my thin case on the ipad. Others complained about needing the wrenches to tighten. I don't consider that a problem at all. I have it tight enough to hold my ipad where I want it, but I can still pretty easily adjust it without the wrenches. I'm very satisfied. Read more

The tools supplied are needed. Must tighten and loosen each time you use it. It sometimes comes loose so you need to check it each time you use it. When it slips the clamp grip, the tablet starts to sag down. It's a very sturdy product. Read more

This is a nice quality stand, can't argue that. A couple problems though - seller description says made from 99% aluminum alloy. That's not really correct, only the mount arm and clamp is metal. The ball joint socket, and entire tablet arm is PLASTIC. There is obviously a metal spring and a metal ring, but that part is entirely plastic. Not cool. Other issue is you need not one, but TWO tools to adjust this thing. I got mine on the mic stand and did a gig without needing to adjust it at the venue, but if I did I'd need two different tools. The allen wrench they supplied didn't fit the hex properly, I had to use my own. Another thing that scares me is for a 9 inch Samsung tablet you really have to stretch the tablet arm an incredible amount to get it in there. This concerns me as it's always under pressure while holding, how long will this last before breaking? I prefer other tablet holders that have telescoping range, and then from there the spring is activated. This reduces intense stretching of the mechanism. Does it's job . Slightly heavey, so requires a very tight Mic Boom . Spring loaded plastic phone holder is very tight , hard to spread apart to put in tablet or phone. Well worth the price , but if buying again I would look for a less heavey one. Read more
