Great little box, transparent, just the right size to fit a purse, just the right size for two layers of pens/pencils. I just love it! And I love how it closes too, it is a very safe lock. You have to snap on both of the little "straps"--or how do you call them? In any case, they keep the box very safely locked, and it makes a pleasant little noise when the "straps" snap on. The plastic is smooth and had very nice edges that do not irritate upon touch. It does not feel flimsy at all, but not bulky either. I have used this as a pen case exclusively for 3 years and I have no complaints at all. I like that it is smaller but still holds all of my items and I like that it has a separate compartment for an eraser. If I had to come up with any criticism it would be that the plastic does get scratched and looks less clear. It's a durable material and feels like it will probably last me at least 3 more years. I picked this product as I was looking for a short, narrow plastic container in which to store long-ish toiletry-type tools (e.g. tweezers, nail file, toe nail clippers). I added a few tools, closed the top, & snapped the latch. I picked the container up to move it. I must have been holding it by the long edges of the top because it popped open. Evidently the combined weight of the tools was more than the latch was design to hold. It's an ok little box so I gave it 4 stars. It just wasn't designed to do what I wanted to use it for. Product description says that it is 3inches wide, which is what I needed for what it would be holding. However, it is actually only 2 inches wide inside, and just under 2.5 inches on the outside. It was fairly cheap and I can use it for other things, so I won't be returning, but I would not have ordered it had I known it wasn't actually 3 inches wide.
