Initially, I approached the new iteration of Crisis Core with trepidation, assuming it would be a mere port from the PSP to the PS5, lacking any significant enhancements. To my delightful surprise, I couldn't have been more mistaken. While the game retained the inherent charm of the original, it underwent a complete transformation, featuring updated scenes and animations that breathed new life into the experience. It felt as though I was embarking on a completely fresh adventure, and the emotional depth within every scene was palpable. The visual and technical improvements in this version of Crisis Core were astounding. The transition to the PS5 allowed for enhanced graphics, showcasing stunning character models, vibrant environments, and breathtaking cinematic sequences. The attention to detail was exceptional, and the updated animations added an extra layer of immersion, capturing the essence of the characters and their emotions with remarkable precision. Playing this reimagined game felt like rediscovering a beloved classic with fresh eyes. The developers expertly balanced preserving the essence of the original while introducing new elements that breathed new life into the narrative. The emotional impact of the story was heightened, as the updated scenes allowed for deeper connections with the characters and a greater understanding of their struggles and triumphs. One of the standout aspects of the updated Crisis Core was the profound sense of emotion that permeated every scene. The enhanced performances, coupled with the meticulously crafted visuals, resulted in powerful storytelling moments that tugged at the heartstrings. From moments of joy and camaraderie to heart-wrenching losses, the emotional range conveyed in each scene was genuinely affecting, leaving a lasting impression on the player. The sheer beauty and resonance of this new rendition of Crisis Core surpassed my expectations, delivering an experience that was both nostalgic and exhilarating. It exemplified the transformative power of remakes, demonstrating how a beloved title can be reimagined to create an entirely fresh and captivating adventure. Whether you are a fan of the original or experiencing the game for the first time, this updated version will leave you enthralled, reminding you why Crisis Core is held dear by so many gamers. Good remake to dive more into FFVII story, the gameplay is really different from the other remakes, but that doesn't mean is good, just different. The story gives a good addition to all the events and some characters from the Remake and Rebirth games. Read more

First off, nostalgia glasses off. The game looks great! Zack's design is different from the older PSP (Actually I liked that Zack better, but it could be a hit or miss with some people). I'm just happy that this game is getting attention, because it's part of the FF7 saga. And for me, gives more life to the back story. Sure, the script isn't the best, but I must say that Rick was Zack. His voice is what sold the character to me and is probably one of the reasons why he's so beloved for me, at least. I wish we could have Rick back so so bad, or an option to add the original voices. This game REALLY needs it in my opinion. At this point, I'd even pay a dlc for the original voices lol. What is a little jarring for me, is that they use the original psp cutscenes, which in a way I appreciate but it kind of takes away from the game for me. Because Zack looks so dramatically different. It feels like I'm playing two different games. I wish they could've remade those scenes as well. Or at least make Zack look closer to the way he used to look. Anways, the moment Zack answered his phone in the first few minutes of the game I quickly switched the voices to Japanese. (It's that jarring/grating for me.) If Square would vet their voice actors better I think this script could have worked with the right people, if we couldn't get the original va actors back. All gripes aside, the game does keep the authentic feel of Crisis core and I like that they kept the original time line. There's something so refreshing about seeing Zack with a flip phone :) Read more

I have this game for the Sony PSP and I loved it. I still have the PSP and the game but I tell you its great to have an updated version on the PS5. I was wanting to play this game again when the FF7 remakes started but when I was playing it there was an issue with the save capability on my device. But then they released it on PS5 and all was well with the world! If you have not played it and you are a fan of FF7 you need to play this... Buy it now. Play it tonight... If you are not a fan of FF7 and you have not played this... But it now... Play it tonight anyway. It's pretty good. Read more

This fills in the gap of what happened to Zack Flair. Not really a AAA game but more of a dlc or simpler mechanics game. Read more
