FIRST IMPRESSIONS I just received the package with the knives (Feb 24, 2016). It arrived 1 day late and the actual order failed to update the tracking information after Feb 18, when he package left the California facility. Now, the knives are beautiful, they are well balanced (at least the set I got) and simply stunning. So far they look and feel great. Love that each knife has it's own guard and the colors are vibrant. I have yet to use them. I will update the review after I've put the set through it's passes to see how they do. UPDATE (July 29, 2017) We have been using the knives for over a year now. It hasn't been daily use, we've been working more, therefore cooking less, but we still use then enough. All the knives are still sharp, but the green knife (the sudoku knife?) lost its tip very early on. I really don't know how, but I suspect that it lost it while it was drying. I don't own a dishwasher, so everything gets hand washed and left to dry in a drying rack. I suspect that the knife might have lost the tip there; at the very least I found it without the tip when I was putting things away. It's not like the knife became useless or anything, but be aware that the tip might be fragile enough to break during use. It's also the only knife to have lost its tip. The pairing knife is also beginning to discolor at the very tip, but its such a small piece that unless you are intentionally looking for it you won't really notice. Other than that I really have no complaints about the set. My partner originally refused to use the knives because they were "too pretty and too girly" for him and he was "afraid to ruin them." Now he reaches for them whenever he cooks. So, overall, the set is really good and I am very happy with my purchase. Read more

I'm a Cutco gal myself but my twins throw out my knives, forks and spoons on the daily. The sharp knives were going out with the rotisserie chicken until I caught on. This was a inexpensive, quick and sharp alternative. I bought them 1.5 years ago and the only one "gone" is the paring knife. The rest are still very sharp but I use the color coded sheaths consistently, protecting the knives from dullness as us from cuts. Read more

I needed to upgrade my kitchen knives, and I am so glad I found these. I bought these about 11 months ago and they still look and feel like new, still very sharp. Each knife has a sturdy protective cover which is great for protecting your hands when rummaging around in your kitchen drawers.
