I have been very pleased with this espresso machine since I got it and it is worth every penny! I saw that the number one complaint of this product was the portafilter would splash everywhere and make a mess around your machine. It did and I was worried that I would want a refund. However, I have a hack to avoid it: use a 6” tall drinking glass. The space between the base tray and the portafilter is approximately 6 inches. Place a drinking glass underneath it and once you select your dose for a single or double, the espresso will pour into your glass and it will not make a mess. Pros: Nice product, works well and easy to use. I like the slim fit of it, but it is fairly tall. Love the adjustable base for the cup, and the option that I can remove that tray to put my travel mug under it too. I have not used the cold brew option yet. Cons: The portafilter filter basket is hard to get out and I'm sure will get damaged at some point due to this. Also, while brewing, the pour is pretty messy if you have a smaller cup, even with the tray raised. Read more

This espresso machine is NOT worth the price of $299. I bought the other espresso machine from cuisine art in 2019 and it worked well, so I thought I'd give their newer more expensive one a try and I regret it. Will be returning. - it splatters everywhere (see photo). I've tried everything to get it not to do this - it says to take the drip tray out to use large to go mugs, but then the water just drips onto the counter (because the drip tray is removed) - the storage for the scooper and espresso filters get filled with water Just an overall flawed machine with bad design. I love coffee. I prefer my coffee with an aeropress or a pourover and I do most everything manually, including the grinding. However there is nothing manual in the world that I could do to make a good espresso and/or steamed milk beverage. I have always been stopped though because I know how much effort and space goes into a good espresso- but this machine solves so many problems for me. The grinder grinds beans for espresso- nice and fine without me having to invest in a separate conical burr grinder, it measures for me and it tamps for me and the steamer is excellent. There's not too much noise and it's super easy to clean. Every cup comes out perfect without any off flavors. This is a great value machine especially given the size. I'm really happy with it!
