Happy I decided to give this iron a try. It works great & heats quickly! For having owned different name brands in the past, this one exceeds several to all of them. Don't pay much attention to all of the heat levels shown in Celsius. But don't forget it's Celsius, for your hair's sake! I usually would set my older irons to a medium, med-high heat. But simply power this one on and let it (quickly) get to its lowest setting of 190°C and that should suffice for many, I would think. (That's 374°F for us US folks!) Got the 1 1/4 inch and it works amazing. I didn’t think it would be hot enough but my hair curled quick and good and stayed all day. Great price for what seems like a pro wand. Temp goes to 230. Read more

I had a curling iron stop working, so it was time for a new one. I didn’t want to use the same brand I had, so I saw this one for a great price, and got it. I like the ceramic irons and feel like they are less harsh on your hair. The one thing I was hesitant about was the fact that it strangely has the degrees in Celsius and not Fahrenheit. I need to figure out how to change it. A previous reviewer mentioned how, but I must have not been doing it right. I mean, it’s not a huge deal- just crank it up to 230 c, which is the hottest it goes. I believe that’s around 400 f. I try to keep it under 400- in the 375 range anyways. After using a shorter barrel, going back to a longer one will take some adjusting- but I feel the curls come out better this way. So far so good. The curls came out bouncy and hopefully they will stay for awhile! Overall- 4 stars for a solid curling iron. Minus one for not putting it in Fahrenheit for us US customers. Springs are nice and tight, you don’t have to hold the iron on long for a decent curl- so that’s good. I’m trying to really be good to my hair, and the less heat on it the better. Price is solid too. This was a Christmas present for my granddaughter, at her request. She's very pleased with it and says it works well. I would recommend it if you need another curling iron - or even a backup, in case the current one fails. Read more
