The best OTC plantar fasciitis insole that I’ve found and I’ve tried MOST, no exaggeration.
These are the ONLY inserts available at retail that help with my plantar fasciitis. I’ve tried them ALL. I’ve bought every cushiony insole made of every material (foam, rubber, gel, open cell, closed cell, shank, no shank, non-newtonian fluid filled, air bubble packet, etc) until I realized that soft and cushiony doesn’t help it. A solid foot base with adequate arch support does. This is why those hard Dansko shoes help a lot of people and there’s NO cushioning in them at all. So then I bought EVERY otc arch support and none of them work as well as these Dr Scholls. Actually another brand I purchased from Amazon does work well, but they’re only available from Amazon. Anyway, I’m a big guy and weigh 300lbs. This is probably why all other otc insoles don’t help because they’re made for the average person? I know I need real orthotics, but I can’t bring myself to spend $800 on them even though I know I’ve spent more than that trying numerous brands. These look like a lot of others and are made of foam with a plastic arch shank, but they work much better and last a decent while. They are the only ones I really buy. There’s one exception but those are better for activity as opposed to just standing all day at work like I do. Read more
