Love it! Doesn’t come with wires or a plug if you want to plug it into a socket but really easy to set up regardless. Beware of needing to run separate wires to a 0-10v dimmer switch to use that function. Read more
Easy installation, definitely added more light to the work area. Comes with all necessary hardware to install. Read more

I mounted four eight foot fixtures to the top of two 23’ long beams in my family room. They shine directly on the ceiling and reflect light back down perfectly. These replace ugly outdated can lights perfectly. The only issue with these is I’ve never seen a light you could not use a dimmer on. It is unclear how you dim these lights as it refers to two dimmers I’ve looked up, but don’t see how these work without running completely new cables. Not an option. The company has no way to contact them or ask a question. These lights are great as far as lighting goes but I’m on the lowest wattage and color and they are still too bright. I’m not about to tear my walls up to run another cable to install a dimmer and am considering returning them Read more

Good stuff! These are plenty bright and the quality of the mounting hardware was better than I expected. Read more

I found these light fixtures to be stylish and well made. These and high-quality architectural commercial grade fixtures that are designed to be permanently installed and hardwired, as such, no power cords are included in the set. The lights have a few features that set them apart from the other fixtures I’ve used. The first, and most noticeable, is the sleek jet-black extruded aluminum housing. It is compact and stylish. The integrated frosted lens does a good job of spreading the light evenly, reducing glare. The housing has a grooved track on the top that the hangers attach to. This makes installation easy, especially in retrofit situations where you are trying to match up existing hanger locations. The adjustable hangers allowed me to replace a series of old florescent fixtures without having to change the ceiling support locations, which was a huge time saver. In addition, the slender stainless-steel cables are far more appealing than the chains on the old fixtures. The same hangers can be used to flush mount the fixtures if desired. Another stand-out feature is the number of adjustments available. The fixtures can be set at one of three different color temperatures (3000K, 4000K, 5000K), the illumination level can be set at one of three levels (60w, 80w, 100w) or better yet, adjusted from 0% to 100% via any 0-10 volt dimmer. I really like the ability of dimming these fixtures, which makes them perfect for use in my studio. The fixtures are energy efficient, providing very good output at each preset level with an energy conversion of 1 watt = 100 lumens, (60 watts = 6,000lm, 80 watts = 8,000lm, 100 watts = 10,000lm). As with all LED lights, these are unaffected by cool temperatures, yet another advantage over florescent lights. I’ve tried several different type of fixtures and retrofit LED bulbs and found most lacking. These fixtures fit my requirements well, they look stylish and refined, offer good quality light with no glare, and are highly adjustable. There certainly are less expensive options out there, but this is one of those situations where you get what you pay for, in this case, a well-designed, high-quality professional grade light fixture. This 4-pack of Dakason 8 foot LED lighting is a sleek and attractive way to provide a lot of light in a finished package. Unlike the stand-by bare fluorescent tubes either exposed or protected by a clear plastic shield, these fixtures combine sturdy black painted aluminum extrusions with a frosted lens that diffuses the switchable LED light sources. If intending to use these in the garage, you will be dressing up the space with these. They are suitable for interior decorative lighting. The aluminum housing is sturdy enough to take bumps and inadvertent abuse. All accolades considered, there are a few things that render these slightly frustrating. Our primary concern is the method by which they are powered. The lights do not come with any power cords, either included or installed. The end caps both have embossed perforated (though elongated) knock out areas we assume are intended for power feed. There are also two rubber caps that are removeable on the top surface (facing the ceiling), one smaller than the other. The larger cap covers a standard 1/2" hole that will accept a 1/2" conduit or greenfield connector. The other cap covers a smaller 3/8" that can accept a smaller greenfield connector like those used in undercabinet lighting. Our conundrum comes from the fact that there is little information on how the standard power feed is intended. All the photos on the Amazon page show these fixtures suspended from the ceiling in a workspace with no logical or visible power cable. Another concern is the method by which you are expected to gang these together into longer contiguous and continuous task lights. Each plastic end cap removed easily, but there is no indication of how nor hardware to accommodate this type of installation. The extrusions are hollow, so running wire through the fixture is easy, but there should be some mechanical way to fasten more than one fixture to another and protect the house wire that crosses the threshold from one to the other. Assuming you have the fixtures hung on the supplied (and sturdy) hanging cable, you are afforded flexibility between the ganged fixtures, but be prepared to do some site work to fabricate a safe connection between. If installing these flush-mount and ganging them, you will face a bigger challenge. The hanging clip can be slid onto the extrusion with the end cap off or snapped over the extrusion. If snapping over, I expect a struggle removing them in the future. You may want to deform the clip a little to ease that task if you may need to remove. All things considered, we decided to address the wiring issue by purchasing some short 16/3 extension cords. We cut the female end off and threaded the cut end of the male side through a hole cut into the 3/8" rubber plug. The 1/2" and 3/8" holes in the extrusion are sharp edged and the use of the rubber plug to act as a scuff shield around the cord is important. Once the cord was threaded into the extrusion, it was drawn out the open end to make the connection via the included spring-loaded wire clip. This device takes the place of wire nuts and is easy to use. Unfortunately, it also takes up a lot of real estate and getting everything stuffed back into the fixture is a challenge. To further complicate the wiring, there is a second set of wires that are intended to be installed for dimming purposes. We're not sure how it should be wired as there are no concise instructions advising. If direct wiring, you can probably accomplish the dimming via the recommended dimmer and the power wiring. The additional wires may be used with remote dimming, though we're not sure how. Once the cord was wired in, we tested the light cycling through the two installed switches that allow you to customize the light color and intensity. The 60/80/100 watt light levels allow for brighter intensity while the 3000K(WW)/4000k(NW)/5000K(DW) setting adjust from soft white to bright white. This light throws a lot of even clean light without hot spots or dead zones. Although started on the 5000K setting, the light was cool white, though not blue tinted. The differences between 60/80/100 watt was noticeable, however each setting is adequate to provide substantial light. Our final destination for these lights is in the garage hung from the metal conduit and plugged into outlets that will replace the porcelain lamp bases. We are happy with these fixtures and though rated 5 stars, wish there was clearer information of some of the issues detailed above. That confusion would have rendered a 4-1/2 star review, but the quality of the devices weighed in their favor. Read more
