This is a 2 pack of 4 ft vapor tight lights. The lights can be powered using AC voltage from 120 to 277 volts. The lights are waterproof which is a great feature for carports, etc but I installed mine inside in my store room. These put out a lot of light! The style of these lights remind me of the old lights in schools back in the 70s but fortunately these are LED. I personally love the vintage look of them. The lights are very easy to wire up since they utilize a push style connection instead of wire nuts & they can be daisy-chained up to 4 lights. The mounting of the lights is also very easy. They can be flush-mounted or they can be suspended using the clips provided. I personally used the suspended mounting as it was quicker & easier in my opinion. The lights are dimmable if a commercial-style dimmer is installed using the pink & purple wires that are provided but this is not a feature I added to my lights. Why did you pick this product vs others?: These are some good lights, LED's that can be set at 3 different strengths of brightness. They have clamps that hold on the clear cover and are designed to be waterproof. The only drawback is they have to be direct wired, and of course they do not supply a power cord, and the plug to hook it up is a specialty plug, but since it is minimal basic wiring, I just went around the plug and wired it directly to the wires ending at the plug and it works just fine, They lights themselves look impressive and they give off a good deal of light, especially at the highest setting. I got these for starting plants that I start indoors every January, (plants that I grow outdoors for food). I suspend them inside a large cat above the heat mats where I start the seeds. I had my electrician install these in my garage. He said they were a snap to install. They looked amazing. I groom dogs and the light and quality of light coming from these two fixtures was above my expectations. The price of these when I ordered them was reasonable. A fair value. Problem is one of the lights started blinking. When the electrician came to check it out it was burning hot. The driver was way too hot. He checked the other one and when he opened it, you could smell something heated up. They do not function well, they over beat and I had him uninstall them asap. Read more

These are bright lights on their highest wattage setting. They come with their own driver, you just need to provide the power cord through a switch. So far they are working well in my small spray area / booth I have made for finishing woodworking projects occasionally. I suppose they are low enough in wattage you could use a lamp cord with a rotary switch if you can't connect to a wired switch. My shop is all open so easy to run new wiring / install new boxes. Being waterproof, vaporproof, dustproof, all those proofs, you can put these lights anywhere you like. Spray booths for a body shop, the engine room of a ship, the ceiling of a factory, or even in your barn or garage. They're voltage-selectable, which a lot of folks will like if they're using them to illuminate smaller spaces or places people commonly don't go. Personally, I have them on "full blast", and they're brilliant. They're made for hard wire, however, if you want to use them as plug-ins, you can simply take the female end off of an extension cord, strip a little wire, and hook it up inside the light. As they use a max 120 watts, you would be able to use these in any outlet if you wanted to, or if you wanted to take them out in the "field" and use them with a portable power supply, which I could see these potentially being used for. Overall, I'm very happy with these. They're made amazingly well, are incredibly bright on the highest output level, are easy to open and close while remaining waterproof and all that good stuff, and you can use them anywhere. 5 stars. My husband owns a car lot / mechanic shop and he has been looking for quite a while for some nice lights like this for his garage base. You do have to hardwire these in, but he said it's very simple and straightforward if you know what you are doing. He knows how to do a ton of electrical work so he was easily able to swap these out with the old shop lights and put these in instead. These are so much brighter and they work perfectly as intended. They came very well packed and secured with plenty of padding so there was no damage from delivery. Everything was perfectly as described down to the measurements so it fit perfectly in the space we had for it. Super durable super thick and very well made. My husband and his buddies were easily able to get these mounted and installed in no time. They were super impressed by how user friendly the process is and how well the lights work especially for this price point. Worth every penny and definitely a solid 10 out of 10.
