Customers say
Customers find the sweater well-made, comfortable, and appreciate its feminine style, with one noting it provides warmth without bulk. Moreover, the medium-weight merino wool makes it not too heavy, and one customer mentions it has enough room for long johns underneath. However, opinions on value are mixed, with some finding it well worth the cost while others consider it expensive. Additionally, customers disagree o

This is my third Dale of Norway sweater and it doesn't disappoint. Since I already have a red and ivory (zip up) Dale sweater and a black and ivory (boxier, more traditional) one, I opted for the Cobalt/Off White/Allium for a brighter look. The pink detail around the zipper is a beautiful accent. As others mention, the sleeves are a bit long but it doesn't bother me much and I can easily roll them up if needed. As with other Dale sweaters, the fit is snug but not tight and the wool is very high quality and feminine-looking but still substantial. I wear S. I feel like you could put this sweater through hell and it would still look beautiful. Living in New England, this is an all-season sweater for me. I recently wore it on a trip to Denver and got all sorts of compliments from different people - just seeing the sweater got them excited about skiing. If you've never worn a Dale before you're in for a wonderful surprise. Read more

I'm between the XS and S sizes on the Dale of Norway sizing charts. Read every review that mentioned sizing but none really helped me with my decision. Why do most reviews mention weight and height, but never their bone structure (frame) and very seldom their body shape? I finally took a chance and ordered the XS. The sweater is form fit (or athletic fit) but stretches somewhat. I tried on the sweater with no base layer, then tried it on with my thickest/warmest long underwear since I'll be using it on our coldest ski days. Either way, it fits beautifully. All in all, the sweater is a piece of art - absolutely gorgeous. Worth every penny. I'll update my review as to warmth once I hit the slopes this season. FYI ... I'm an older 'gal', 5''2", 100 lbs, very small frame, athletic build but not straight up and down (i.e, you can tell I'm not a boy). Former gymnast but that was way back. Most of my pounds are bone and muscle. Hope this helps the smaller women out there. Read more
Love the sweater. It is gorgeous but arms way too long and somewhat itchy which is ok if over a base layer. Read more
Definitely worth the money- this is a quality sweater that will last forever. It is tightly knit and looks beautiful. Read more
