This is the best knife set I ever owned. The knives are brilliantly made. The packaging and the block down to every last detail is top drawer. Razor sharp and hold an edge. Bought in August 2024 and this set is ok, I feel like I have never had a knife set that WOW’d me and I was hoping this set would but nope! But last night I couldn’t find my ice pick and I grabbed this knife figuring it would do the job and the tip broke off into my ice… this has never happened to me before with any knife I have EVER owned! 5 out of five knives have pitting, poor finishing, angle of the blade on one is off, small burrs through out the set, poor symmetrical consistency through out as well. They look good from a distance. If they are on sale and you have low expectations, maybe do it. But if you like things done well, maybe search elsewhere. One or two flaws would be OK, disappointing but understandable. This many flaws and the variety of flaws says a lot about the company. Read more

The Dalstrong are probably the most sexiest knives I have seen. They are sleek, well made and amazing blade. As a chef, I’m a sucker for a good Santoku Knife. I have a few brands of knives in my collection: Kyocera ceramic, DaTerra Cucina, Hast, Kamikoto, MAC and Hexclad. I also have several Dalstrong products including * DALSTRONG Cheese Knife Set - 4-Piece * Dalstrong Professional Wide Cheese Grater * Dalstrong Santoku Knife The knives are well designed, from the weight to position of the holster and heel especially on the Chef and Santoku knives. They have that certain feel that is like an extension of your hand, ease of positioning and using. The set includes the 8.5” chef, 7” santoku, 7” serrated utility, 6.5” fillet, and 4 pairing knife. The knives are strong made with High Carbon Stainless Steel. I just used the fillet knife over the holidays and just love how I can maneuver with such ease.
