So I was a little nervous when I purchase these instead of the Wusthoff classic, but because all the reviews were so good and it is returnable I took a chance. I enjoy a good sharp knife and have a few different kinds. The German makers are usually the best. When these arrived I was pleasantly surprised given the good price for a sizeable set. The construction appear very good quality. The knives are attractive and have a solid heft to them. They are extremely sharp. We had steak soon after they arrived and they cut like "butter." Their instructions are clear, do not use dishwasher, hand wash and dry after use (because moisture on even good stainless steel can make marks). So I have followed these to the letter. My only complaint is actually about the wooden rack that it came in. The rack itself is attractive and made of nice wood. I wish it would fold closed as a case for the knife set. As it is you can only stand it up or lie it flat. With our limited counter space I already have my all purpose knife rack on the counter and can't afford more knives up there. If you lie it flat in a drawer or cabinet the knives will slide out. So ultimately I found a cabinet to stand the case up in. Here I think the seller description is not as clear as it could be because I imagined it as a case as well as a stand. Read more
