The media could not be loaded. Really loving these knives. First, I'm not a chef, just a middle aged guy that likes nice tools in the kitchen. The fit and finish of these blades is great, and the Damascus really adds some extra esthetics and joy to the cooking process, not to mention it gives you some extra cred from those watching. This set covers the basic needs in the kitchen and would make a great gift. I will point out though, if giving as a gift you may want to point out that these are not dishwasher safe, as with any fine knives you don't want to put them in a dishwasher. The packaging does not include any warnings to that point. When opening these up and using for the first time I found the blades a little dull for my liking, so a couple quick strokes through the sharpener and these were a joy to use. I love the wood handle and the transition from wood to metal is well done. I have other blades that have been my favorite, but after using these blades, they have earned the primary spot in my kit. Why I gave it 5 stars even with being slightly dull? Anyone buying a serious set of knives should have a sharpener, that and I'm just a bit obsessive about having the sharpest knife possible. The blades on these knives are very thin. Much thinner than what I would expect with Damascus (layered metal). Which makes me wonder if these are truly Damascus or just have a Damascus pattern on the blades. They are sharp. The presentation box is nice as are the handles. I just expected a much heavier blade with them supposedly being Damascus carbon steel. Upon rereading the description, it does state that the "Chef's knife" is Damascus. The other two? I question if any of them actually are though. The Damascus pattern appears heavy on one side, but almost nonexistent on the other. I guess the plus is that they are all very light in weight. I have yet to use them enough to speak of their durability. Personally, I value our set of Ninja knives with a built-in blade sharpener in the block that holds all of the knives. A bit more expensive, but well worth it. Read more

This Damascus Knife Set is absolutely beautiful in person. This is a 3 piece set of high carbon, professional grade knives. You get a 8" chefs knife, a 7" santuko knife (my personal favorite) and a 5" paring knife. They come in a high end silky feeling black box with a front magnetic closure. I am currently keeping them stored in this box between uses until I can figure out another solution...I don't use knife blocks anymore. These knives have gorgeous handles and very intriguing blade patterns. They are weighted absolutely perfectly. This set is professional grade but it belongs in any home! I think these knives would make a fabulous gift to yourself or someone else. Extremely good quality workmanship. Highly recommend. Read more

All three knives came very sharp and have kept an edge through plenty of use. I’ve been using them just about everyday and haven’t needed to touch them up yet. They also look fantastic in person. The Damascus pattern pops and the knives are very well balanced. Overall, they have been a great set and I’m glad I picked them up. Read more

This is a nice set of knives. I prefer Damascus steel over stainless steel because it can be sharpened to a sharper edge and holds an edge better than stainless steel. They do require a bit more care, but it is well worth it. These knives come extremely sharp right out of the box. They feel well balanced, and the handles are very comfortable even in my big hands. The saw tooth design on the blade appears to be laser etched and is very pronounced (although I could have done without that). I was a bit disappointed that the Damascus was not nearly as pronounced as in the photos (that's why I deducted 1-star). I have a chemical solution that I will probably dip them in to bring that out. The Pakkawood handles look and feel very nice. These will provide many years of service in my kitchen! Recommended! Read more

This knife set looks impressive right out of the box. The blades feel substantial, and the patterned finish adds visual character without feeling flashy. In use, they slice smoothly and stay well balanced in hand. The handles offer a comfortable grip that feels controlled during longer prep sessions. Each knife serves a clear purpose, making the set feel thoughtfully assembled rather than random. Storage keeps everything organized and protected. This set brings both performance and style into the kitchen. Read more

This set of Damascus knives is beautiful and sharp out of the box. The dark wood handles feel great, and are easy to hold when things get wet. We used these to create a charcuterie board at our holiday party, and everyone wanted to know where we got them. Read more
