Love these boots!

LuvDachsiesFebruary 26, 2025

At my daughter's recommendation, I bought these hiking boots for the mountain and forest hikes we've been taking. It was the best decision ever! These boots were comfortable from the moment I put them on. There was no break-in time for me at all, just what my daughter told me she'd experienced. I love these boots and am sold on the quality and the value for my money. They're definitely worth it for me. They support my feet perfectly, and the higher top supports my sometimes-wonky ankle. I especially like this color, so I consider this a win-win-win-win: support, style, value, attractiveness. Read more

Love these boots

I love these boots! I bought them for a trip to Arkansas to hike in December. They were comfortable right out of the box, and did not require any break - in time. Plenty of toe room. They were plenty warm with thick wool socks, but I feel they would be good for warmer weather too. Well made and definitely worth the price Read more

Comfortable & good fit

Happy Camper in MillvilleSeptember 4, 2021

I’m elated with these boots! First of all let me qualify my review, I purchased these they were not given to me to provide a review. I am a 71-year-old female with narrow feet especially in the heel. I have high arches and many shoes slide up and down the heel and or do not have enough arch support. On my left foot I have a Morten Neuroma And bone spur ring over my first toe first joint. On my right foot I have had to have surgery three times and have a steel plate and six screws in the first joint of the big toe. I can no longer flex that tow it is rigid. So finding the right balance in two shoes it’s so much challenging for me. I found that the shoes had enough give to allow my Naroma to be comfortable along with the fact that the box area was sufficiently wide enough for the front of my foot. The shoe was alsoSupportive enough to keep my big toe with the bone spurs from bending too much. The right foot where the plate is did very well because of the support not allowing and one non-flexible toe to be supported. My heels did not ride up and down and I felt like the arch support was OK. I only walked 1.39 miles today because that is always enough to cause my feet to start hurting. The verdict is they did just fine. I had A medium weight crew socks on. so to sum up the Toebox was sufficient for the front of my foot, the heels did not slip in the arch didn’t bother me. I purchased a size 7 which is what I normally wear. Read more

I miss my Danner Tektites

LWhiteNovember 1, 2021

I bought these boots just over 9 months ago. At first I was disappointed because they simply didn't measure up to Danner's (discontinued) Women's Tektite 4.5 Inch Work Boots which my feet absolutely loved. Fortunately with time and merino wool socks these boots became very comfortable. I wear them two or three hours a day doing barn chores for which they seem well-suited: waterproof, great traction, reasonable ankle support for walking on uneven surfaces. Unfortunately in the past week the leather has split along the instep at the eyelet so they are no longer waterproof. Danner offers a 365-day limited warranty but after reading the list of Exclusions on the Danner web site I fear my boots wouldn't meet the criteria. Overall these are decent boots and, with care, probably durable. Read more

Fantastic hiking boots

Trish AdamsAugust 14, 2024

They are super comfortable and needed little braking in. I bought them for a trip to Alaska where I’d be doing lots of walking and hiking on wet, rugged terrain. They are waterproof, fit great - though I did order a half size larger to accommodate thick socks. I loved them so much I ordered another pair. Well worth the price. Read more

Stylish, Comfortable, and Trail-Ready!

The media could not be loaded. Absolutely love my Danner Mountain 600 hiking boots! They’re super cute, incredibly comfortable right out of the box (no break-in period!), and the quality is top-notch. I’ve worn them on hikes and around town—they’re stylish enough for both. Did I mention they’re cute? Highly recommend! Read more

Perfect Boots!

CassJuly 13, 2018

This is my second pair of Danner boots and I am thrilled with them. My first pair lasted me three years and traveled around the world hiking thousands of miles--I expect that these will hold up just as well. They are not insulated, but they are slightly warmer than average hiking boots--I've worn them on a few summer hikes, but my feet do get a bit overheated. They broke in very easily (I'd estimate that I walked in them for only about 5 miles before they felt fully broken in) and fit true to size. The soles have excellent traction and the boots are waterproof--they won't keep out every drop of water if you submerge them completely in water (the tongue gusseting isn't 100% sealed) but they've kept me dry in the rain and walking through streams and puddles on trails. One thing I was pleasantly surprised by is how light these boots are--they're definitely equipped for rugged terrain, but only weigh as much as sneakers. Really pleased with these boots! They are well worth the price for such excellent quality! Read more
