I’m honestly surprised by the negative reviews on these booties. They’re cute, comfortable, and both look and feel well made. The leather is soft and supple. The inside of the shoe cushions my foot beautifully, as expected with Dansko footwear. They are true ankle booties so if you have wider ankles you might need to wear socks or else the edges of the shoe may rub against your skin. These don’t appear to be non-slip soles so you’ll need to look at other Dansko styles if you need non-slip shoes. I wear a size 9 shoe and the pair I received (size 39) fit perfectly. Read more

I normally wear an 8.5 in shoes, but I took a chance and ordered the 7.5 - 8.0 in these booties. Unfortunately, they are too wide for me, especially in the heel area. I'm going to need to wear extra-thick socks so the boots won't slip around on my feet, which might make them too snug in the toes. Overall, these boots are very well made, cute, and comfortable with adequate arch support. I'm looking forward to wearing them when the weather gets cooler. Read more

I always expect quality from Dansko shoes especially at the price they charge. This pair of Carolyn Booties are super cute and comfortable. When choosing my size, I opted to use the UK size guide rather than the US and that served me well. The shoes aren't tight, but not loose. There's just enough room for a pair of socks, even a heavier pair. The sole of the shoe is sturdy and slip-resistant. But, the quality is questionable. The manufacturing of these shoes is shoddy. The zipper area has obvious issues and they're glaring. One of the shoes I received is stained on the inside. There's also the question of the removable insert. It is removable, but you're left with the hard bottom of the shoe which is uncomfortable. I can't imagine walking on that all day just to make my shoe fit right. These Dansko Carolyn booties are clearly well-made with quality leather and solid arch support. Once on, they’re comfortable enough for all-day wear. The problem is actually getting them on- I found myself wrestling with them more than I’d like. I followed the size chart and ordered my normal size, however, I think if one had wide feet like me, I think sizing up would make these easier to get in to. Even setting that aside, the look just isn’t very flattering in my opinion. For the price, I expected something both stylish and easy to wear, and these miss the mark. Read more

I usually wear a 9 or EU 40. These were cute ankle boots, but the size was 8.5-9. There’s a difference there. I used to wear 8.5 and now 9s. But, I got them anyway. They feel very quality…the leather is real. The bottoms are sort of like a thick rubber. The description says you can remove the arch support, but if you do, you’re taking out the whole insole. To me, they were just a bit snug near the big toe. I can wear them, but I don’t know for how long. I was able to put them on with a thin sock, but they felt more comfortable without the added bulk. I can also feel the top of the front of the shoe on the front of my ankle (hence trying them with socks). I’m going to keep them and see if they break in a bit and are a little less stiff. These are very high-quality booties, unfortunately not for me. I have very high arches, and these are made for flatter feet., they are wider than regular (I normally wear medium width), the length is perfect, I wear 9-9.5, and these are perfect for winter socks. These are waterproof, warm, supportive, cushioned. The length is good for trousers. Recommend. Read more

These boots are awesome! They look great with jeans or skorts and they feel so very comfortable. I thought the insert was going to hurt my flat feet, but it actually feels wonderful!
